Daily program
A very extensive and interesting program was waiting for residents and guests on City Day. Kazan was glorified in the morning in the park of the Volga region - the program was called "I love you, my Kazan!"

City Day at the Museum
The National Museum of Tatarstan prepared the program “Priceless Stories of the Page” on Kazan City 2013 Day . Throughout almost the entire day, museum guests could participate in the super game "Finding Treasures", which in an entertaining way acquainted with the expositions of this museum. Themed tours, practical workshops on several types of crafts and medieval dances were organized. Visitors were free to view stock displays and listen to lectures on unique rarities stored in the museum's collections. Museum staff organized a playground for the youngest visitors, and IT-park for lovers of modern computer technology.
Kazan Hippodrome
Horse riding for the Prize of the President of Tatarstan, traditionally held on City Day, took place in the equestrian center of the highest level. Kazan hosted competitors who came from all regions of Russia:
Perm Territory, Bashkiria, Moscow, Tyumen, Samara, Kirov and other areas. Horse racing took place in three races.
On May 1st Square, an exciting Zilantkon program was run, prepared by a team of fiction and role-playing conventions. Everyone who wanted to, tried themselves in safe battles with weapons and workshops, looked at the competitions of archers and participated in the festival of crafts. Also, Kazan Day 2013 brought together fans to sing karaoke and play in theater miniatures.
Evening program
In front of the Palace of Farmers, on the square, at 8 pm the III festival of the opera “Kazan Autumn” began, accompanied by the famous symphony orchestra of Tatarstan. Everyone could enjoy the bewitching singing of eminent guests of the festival - Albina Shagimuratova and Dmitry Hvorostovsky.
Guests from Latvia also arrived to participate in the eminent concert on City Day. Kazan was visited by Brainstorm group. Musical groups from all over Tatarstan and from the capital of the republic also took part in the concert.
In places where mass events were held, as well as on nearby streets, parking of personal vehicles was prohibited. Car owners who decided to take a chance and leave their four-wheeled friends in a forbidden place had an unpleasant surprise: the cars were evacuated to the parking lot. City transport on this day worked until midnight.
Ended with a grand fireworks City Day. Thus, Kazan thanked all the residents and guests who took part in the celebration.
