Open classes are an important part of the upbringing and educational process not only for children, but also for adults. This is a way to show parents the methods of work and skills of the teacher, as well as share experiences with their colleagues from other institutions. Today we’ll talk about how to conduct an open integrated lesson in the preparatory group.
rules
Before planning an open lesson, you must learn a few immutable rules for which such an event is held:
- Parents are observers. If you invited them to an open, integrated lesson in the preparatory group, remember that they should not be involved in the process. Like any caring relative, they will try to help their children. This should not be. An open lesson is the test of the teacher and preschool children.
- Colleagues. If an open integrated lesson is held in the preparatory group in order to share experience with colleagues from other preschool educational institutions, you can involve them to a small extent in the process.
- Equality. All children are equal and equally important for the educator. You can’t divide them into Vasya, whose parents are deputies, and Petya, whose parents are accountants. Let everyone have the same complexity tasks, you can’t instill a sense of inequality in the younger generation.
- An open integrated lesson in the preparatory group should not distract from the educational process. It is like a theater. Parents are spectators. And you can’t be distracted by them, you must continue to educate children, and you can communicate with adults after class.
GEF
There are two ways to conduct an open lesson. This is the use of one of two quality standards - GEF and FGT. An open integrated lesson in the GEF preparatory group will be a good choice. Aimed at the unification of education and a somewhat detached interaction with children, this standard will allow a good demonstration lesson for parents and demonstrate all the skills and knowledge acquired by preschool children during the time spent in this Kindergarten.
Of the minuses, it is worth noting that everything looks like at a university, children will sit at tables and obediently answer questions from a teacher. Due to this, you are unlikely to be able to keep students in one place for a long time. The concentration of attention will begin to fall, and the effectiveness of the lesson will gradually decline to zero.
FGT
An open integrated lesson in the FGT preparatory group is fraught with a number of problems. You will have to conduct it in a playful way, but at the same time clearly define what is possible and what is not. You have two options: either to warn parents in advance and involve parents in this process, or to clearly define the boundaries for the children so that the elders do not help them in solving the assigned tasks. In any case, the use of this standard is better suited for the first outdoor lesson in kindergarten, in order to demonstrate the teacher's skills to parents.
Goals
When developing an open, integrated lesson for the children of the preparatory group, first of all, determine its goals. As already mentioned in passing, there may be different goals depending on the audience of an open lesson. First of all, consider what should be done for children:
- Securing the material for the year.
- Demonstration of skills and knowledge gained.
- The ability to put into practice and operate on acquired knowledge.
- Demonstration and consolidation of communication skills and interaction between peers.
These are basic, general goals that do not depend on the subject of the lesson. You should be able to show your parents that their children did not visit your DOW for nothing and learned a lot even without their help.
Experience exchange
If you intend to conduct an open integrated lesson in a preparatory group for teachers, then think about what experience you can give them. First of all, such classes are held in order to share their methods of working with children:
- Conducting a demonstration lesson.
- Attracting colleagues when working with children.
- Discussion classes and summarizing.
The main goal of the open lesson, to which other teachers are invited, can be formulated as follows: "Look at others and show themselves." In fact, experiments with the same children, in which different teaching methods are tried, are not brought to good. Kids will just get confused.
Maths
Finally we got to more specific things. An open integrated lesson in the preparatory group in mathematics is best done according to GEF. This standard is suitable for serious sciences. Unfortunately, in most cases in the preparatory group it is impossible to conduct a “clean” lesson. It will be best to combine different objects. For example, mathematics and botany (biology / ecology). You can ask the children to count how many plants are drawn in the picture.
So, what should children know and be able to do in the open lesson of the preparatory group?
- Be able to count to ten (one, two ...).
- Know the ordinal score to ten (first, second ...).
- Be able to compare numbers and know their correct order.
- Be able to compare objects in shape and size.
- Be able to perform simple operations with numbers.
- To be able to select an excess object in a row.
- Make a maximum of unique combinations of the given items. For example, three colors are given. It is necessary to change their places in order to make up as many sequences as possible.
The lesson is best done in semi-game form. Do not dwell on the account, but do not let the children get distracted enough to forget about the lesson.
Speech development
Unfortunately, modern realities are such that children spend a significant part of their time on gadgets - phones, computers, tablets, laptops. The amount of communication and conversational practice that they receive becomes less and less every day. But this does not mean that the teacher is obliged to conduct classes on the development of speech. The standard of FGT implies close contact with the teacher when conducting any classes with preschool children. Thus, through communication and game forms, they should be carried out.
An open integrated lesson in the preparatory group for the development of speech cannot include only this subject. Reading books, poems and discussing their contents can be carried out after school hours. In fact, this is more the task of parents, not educators - to ensure that the vocabulary of the child is replenished. But if you still decide to conduct an open lesson, then you must set yourself the following tasks:
- Increased vocabulary among students.
- Improving articulation.
- The development of auditory memory.
- The development of a sense of rhythm in music.
- Learning the correct use of intonation in expression.
For the administration of preschool educational institutions it is better to remember that one teacher is not able to cope with teaching children all subjects. Therefore, it would be better to invite a professional speech therapist to develop speech, who, having spent a lesson with the children, could draw up an individual plan for everyone. You can always agree with your parents about an additional fee to the invited specialist.
In total
If we talk about the quality of children's education, then dividing it into subjects is rather illogical. At 5-6 years old, children are still not the age when they can be differentially taught subjects, sitting at their desks. All classes should be conducted in a playful way so that children do not even understand that they are being taught something.
For example, the teacher sits down with the children to read a book. While the children are looking at the pictures, you can explain to them that here is one teddy bear, but this tree is a birch, and so on. After the lesson, the teacher interviews everyone about what they read, that the children remember what they think about the fairy tale. Thus, you will teach your kids not only to perceive information by ear, but also to process it. In addition, you will force them to draw conclusions themselves, and not dutifully absorb information (which is not a fact that is true), as they do in school.

What should the results of open integrated classes lead to? Since they are primarily held for parents, this will allow them to understand the weaknesses of their child. Explain to them that this was not a competition to find out whose child is better, but one of the first ways to determine the future of a preschooler. Does he remember different plants better? It is a biologist. Good and expressive read? Maybe it's time to think about the theater scene. Best of all adds up and solves logic puzzles? Will be a programmer or economist. Gently point out to parents the weaknesses and strengths of their children, and perhaps you can help someone choose their life path.
