The kindly couple all life together was childless, which was tearfully lamented and sincerely grieved. Hot prayers, fasting for many days, humility, with which they accepted their test (among the Jews, childlessness was considered a shame), were rewarded. An angel appeared to them and announced that they would become parents, and their daughter would be blessed by all the lands and peoples. And so it happened, the Rev. gave birth to Mary, in the future - the mother of Christ. The day of Anna the Righteous Angel is celebrated in Orthodoxy on August 7, and in Catholic churches on July 26. She is prayed by women who want to conceive a baby or safely resolve the burden. Her parents ask her to intercede with God for the children - for their prudence, health, and good luck. They turn to her when there is no harmony in the families, understanding between husband and wife or one of them drinks. And with many other sorrows, the afflicted turn to the Monk.

In Russian Christianity, the second after Princess Olga, the woman ranked
among the saints, was the wife of Yaroslav the Wise. The winter day of the angel Anna is associated with her, the date of which falls on
February 10. The daughter of the Swedish king Ingigerd (her name before baptism) was extremely educated and well-read special, she devoted every free minute to gaining new knowledge. Having passed with her father's family to Christianity, she married Yaroslav and became a devoted and reliable support to him in all matters, taking an active part in the country's foreign and domestic policy. Like her husband, Anna Novgorodskaya spent a lot of energy on the development of education in the Russian state, on instilling Christian values.
