Mittens combined. Description. Manufacturing Standards

When performing work related to any kind of pollution, it is necessary to use protective equipment, for example, combined gloves (in case you want to protect your hands). You can use them both at home and in a wide variety of industries.

mittens combined

There are several types of mittens; all of them are made of different fabrics and materials (natural or artificial), designed to work in specific conditions. The advantage of gloves and mittens is practicality, easy to wear, freedom of movement, and durability. In addition to protection from pollution, they protect against injuries during construction, loading, unloading, agricultural and other works.

What are combined gloves?

This is one of the varieties of protective equipment for human hands. This model of equipment is made from cotton and canvas. A special, wear-resistant palm rest is made from canvas material. It is thanks to the combination of two materials in one product that such gloves are called combined.

Types of products

To date, five types of combined mittens can be distinguished. They are designed for different fields of activity:

  • Products equipped with a set-in file.
  • Models with the same tip, which is one-piece with the bottom of the glove.
  • Mittens in which the filler is located on the side at the bend of the product. Such models can be worn on both the right and left hand.
  • Products equipped with two fingertips designed for the index and thumb.
  • Extra long gauntlets with gaiters, which are pulled together at the wrist with a special supporting elastic band. In such models, a handheld is provided, and the capping is scribbled.

The consumer is presented with four sizes of combined gloves: 0, 1, 2, 3.

Production Specifications

According to GOST 12.4.010-75, combined gloves are produced using special materials and threads, depending on where they will be used in the future.

So, the products are designed to protect against:

  • Mechanical impact and abrasion.

For the manufacture of the base of such mittens, a dressing harsh two-thread is used. Also here can be used severe linen two-thread, two-thread half -linen or linen-capron, as well as two-thread flax.

In addition, in the manufacture of mittens, half-linen canvas is used, the material with dacron fiber is severe diagonal weaving, as well as vinyl artificial leather-T and elasto-artificial leather (for the manufacture of linings). Here it is also permissible to use cotton fabric "Horizon" cotton-lavsan with impregnation of a combined type.

  • Spray of molten metal, sparks and scale.

For the production of mittens intended for work in hot workshops, materials such as overcoat cloth and linen canvas, treated with refractory impregnation and asbestos fabrics (for base and lining) are used. The lining of the back of the product is made of heat-reflecting elasto-leather.

  • Thermal radiation and contact with heated surfaces

The materials described above apply here. Refractory impregnation number may vary, depending on production conditions.

  • Solutions of salts and water.

In the manufacture of mittens of this type, raincoat and tent one-colored canvases with impregnation, a half-linen canvas treated with water-resistant impregnation, as well as rubberized fabrics (for linings and warp) are used.

  • Acids of high and medium concentration.

To protect against concentrated acids, the manufacturer must use special materials intended for the manufacture of acid-protective equipment, wool blend acid-protective materials with polypropylene, and polyester acid-repellent fabrics.

For the production of mittens intended for protection against acid of small and medium concentration, materials for overalls with polypropylene and lavsan, as well as acid-proof cloth -30, are used. Harsh cloth is used only for the manufacture of those products that will subsequently be processed with latex.

  • Low concentrated alkalis.

Here should be used: canvas half-linen, treated with water-resistant impregnation, severe cloth, as well as two-thread linen and half linen.

  • Petroleum products (oil, oils and solids).

In the manufacture of mittens intended for protection against oil products, fabrics with lavsan fiber, half-linen canvas with water impregnation, viscose-polyester materials with oil-repellent properties, water-repellent vinyl leather “Storm”, and oil-resistant elasto-leather are used.

Hardware

As for the accessories, in the manufacture of equipment for hands use:

  • elastic elastic tape (for tightening products),
  • cotton threads treated with antiseptic solution (these threads are not used in the manufacture of alkali-protective models),
  • lavsan and kapron threads (not used in mittens that protect against high temperatures).

In the manufacture of heat-protective products, special phenyl and sewing threads are used. These threads, like reinforced, are used in the manufacture of products designed to protect against petroleum products. But reinforced raw materials are not used in heat-protective, alkali-protective and acid-protective models.

Now you have read the description of the combined gauntlets in accordance with GOST 12.4.010-75, which was introduced by the State Committee for Standards of the Council of Ministers of the USSR on January 1, 1976.
