Have you ever thought about how products are packaged? How is the required dose obtained in mass production? Previously, this was achieved through the use of human resources, but time passes, and the development of science and technology does not stand still.
Dispenser. What is it?
A dispenser is a specialized equipment used for filling the required mass or volume of solid materials, bulk products, pasty substances, liquids, gases. The dispenser operates in automatic mode.
The second name of the dispenser is a dispenser.
Dispensers: types and features
Species classification of dispensers includes:
- Auger. A dispenser is used for filling bulk products, powdered and granular substances, pastes. Advantages: simple structural solution, trouble-free cleaning and replacement of main parts (in particular, auger). Disadvantages: low dosing accuracy, the dependence of the accuracy of measuring doses on the error in the manufacture of the screw.
- Volume. It is used for dosing gaseous substances, liquids, pasty materials, occasionally for packing solid bulk products. Advantages: simplicity of design, a relatively high degree of reliability and accuracy of measured doses. Disadvantages: the dose volume depends on the physical and chemical properties of the substance that is being packaged. Therefore, when dosing certain media there is an error to a greater or lesser extent.
- Mass. Used to measure liquid substances, pasty and solid bulk products, occasionally for gas dosing. Advantages: a high degree of dosing accuracy, the absence of a dose size dependence on the physical and chemical (temperature, pressure, etc.) properties of the product, a slight error in the measurement of foamy substances.
- Weighted. Dispensers for bulk products of this type are used to measure bulk substances, occasionally liquids. Weight dispensers, depending on the method of product supply, are tray and tape. Advantages: high metering accuracy, the ability to adjust the flow rate of the material.
Methods for dosing bulk solids
The dosing or packing procedure can be carried out in three ways:
- by weight - the weight of the product is measured and measured. Unit of measurement: kg, g. It is considered the most common method of dosing;
- mass - measured the amount of product. Unit of measurement: cm 3 , l. In most cases, it is used for dispensing liquids, gases and pasty substances;
- volumetric - the product fills a certain free space. Unit of measurement: cm 3 , l. It is used for measuring liquids, gases and pasty products, as well as for packing bulk solids with subsequent dosing into standard weight indicators.
Benefits
Dispensers for bulk products have the following advantages:
- high level of performance;
- precision dosed packaging;
- control over dosing accuracy in automatic mode;
- dispenser components that are in direct contact with the bulk substance are made of high quality stainless steel ;
- simplicity in management and operation;
- the process of installation of equipment and maintenance does not require the participation of qualified specialists;
- A mobile equipment operation option is provided.
Bulk Weigher Dispenser: A Little History
For the first time, the weighing batcher was introduced to the world community by the Japanese firm Ishida in 1972. This company is now included in the lists of leading companies in the production of weight dispensers. In the Soviet Union, a multi-head dispenser model was created in 1988 by the Veda software company in the Kiev region. A little later, 13 years later (since 2001), the equipment in question began to be produced at the Moscow company Signal Pack.
Design features
At the heart of the design, a weighing dispenser for bulk products has several pairs of containers (their number ranges from 8 to 24). In this case, the pair consists of two containers located one above the other. The lower part of the tanks is equipped with shutters.
The product enters the upper row of containers (intermediate or storage) through a loading funnel and, thanks to the distribution apparatus, is distributed over them in equal quantities. From the storage tanks, the product enters the bottom row of vessels where the weight is measured (load capacities). In each weighing vessel is only part of the mass from a given dose of the product.
The weight indicators of the products are sent to a computer, which, by the combination method, determines how to obtain the required dose from several product containers with maximum accuracy. When the containers are selected, their shutters open, and the product is transported through the funnel to the food outlet of the packaging part of the dispenser. Next, the empty containers of the lower row are filled - funnels of the corresponding containers in the upper row are opened, which are subsequently refilled with bulk material.
Distinctive features of modern weighing batchers
Modern weighing batchers for bulk products have a unique ability - they adapt to certain products. Weighing batchers are designed so that the drop height of bulk solids is minimal. In addition, combinational dispensers are equipped with special routes along which products move. Thanks to this, the possibility of damage to even the most fragile products during their packaging is almost completely eliminated.
The innovation was the release of three-level multi-head dispensers. In such equipment, in addition to standard containers (storage and weighing), there is also a memory capacity.
Productivity of the device can reach up to 250 doses per minute.
Its other feature is its versatility - it is suitable for most bulk and small-sized products. However, the dispenser for bulk products, the price of which is quite impressive compared to the cost of dispensers of other types, manufacturers prefer to replace with cheaper ones. But if it comes to packing gingerbread, ravioli, frozen and dried fruit, then the operation of the weight dispenser will be most effective - the dose accuracy will be at the required level, despite the fact that the masses of individual pieces or pieces of the product are not the same.
Screw batcher: design and principle of operation
The screw dispenser consists of a loading hopper, a loading nozzle, a hopper cover, a screw, an auger drive, a pulse device (it includes a quick response valve connected on one side to the receiver and, on the other hand, to the barrel), an output nozzle of the loading hopper, a locking plate, intake funnel, product level sensor.
It is quite difficult to make a screw doser for bulk products with your own hands, since the dosing process is based on automatic control. All parts of dispensers are made of quality materials of a certain type.
The screw dispenser is designed for dosing and packaging food and non-food products. These include all loose, dusty (cement, building mixtures , etc., flour) and powdery products (powders, vanillin, powdered sugar, all kinds of seasonings). As a rule, the auger doser for bulk products is equipped with a bag sealing machine, due to which it is packed in plastic or paper bags.
How does he work? The principle of operation of a screw dispenser with a packet sealing machine is quite simple. Consider the steps step by step:
Step 1. Install the package on the table and click the "Start" button.
Step 2. Turn on the screw feeder. After the equipment is activated, the packaging of a product of a certain dose begins. The agitator, which is mounted in the hopper of the dispenser, ensures uniform filling of the screw with the product.
Step 3. Install the package on an electronic scale.
Step 4. Begin dosing. The agitator and auger begin their work of moving the product into a bag mounted on the scale.
Step 5. Automatic control of package filling. The container, when filled, has an effect on the balance, which, in turn, transmit a signal to the control unit when the package weight reaches the specified values.
Step 6. Sealing the package.
Fields of application
Dispensers for bulk products are actively used in the food, chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic industries.
