The grandparents of modern schoolchildren nostalgically recall the days when soda machines were everywhere in the cities. For one kopek they bubbled joyfully bubbling, they poured plain sparkling water into a glass that was substituted , and for three kopeks a portion of syrup also relied on it. The device itself is a glass vessel, protected by a plastic or metal shell, with a capacity of one to two liters. The lid for it is equipped with a holder for a can of compressed or liquid carbon dioxide. A hose is passed from the lid to the vessel through which gas is supplied inside. Pour water into the vessel, tighten the lid tightly, insert cans for the siphon into the pencil case and press the lever. A special needle punctures the hole in the sleeve, and gas is pumped into the water under strong pressure. Water sizzles and foams merrily, pouring into a glass. That, in fact, is the whole construction.
Using a siphon, you can prepare many delicious cocktails based on
sparkling water. That's just to pour water into it. Neither juices, nor fruit drinks, nor compotes can be tucked into it. If you want water with syrup, then add syrup or jam directly to the glass.

Therefore, it is best for children not to give this device in their hands, but to pour soda on them themselves.
By the way, spray cans are not disposable at all. They can be given for refueling. More precisely, to change the packaging of waste to new ones, with an additional charge, of course. Agree that it is more convenient and economical than buying a new pack every time. And so - you collected used ones and exchanged them for new ones. However, when buying and exchanging cans, it is best to take them from the same company that made the siphon itself. The fact is that they do not have a single world standard, and a bottle for a siphon from another manufacturer may simply not fit your device. For example, the length, diameter or pitch and thread lead may not be suitable. And it will become not only difficult to use them, but also dangerous.
