Perhaps the very expression "pregnant at 16" already suggests, if not fear, then at least a familiar feeling - somewhere we heard about it. Yes, it is precisely about this problem that the media of all stripes are vying. In other words, it is called teenage pregnancy, early and so on. But no matter how we call this phenomenon, it will not get better and, alas, the situation will not change for the better.
It may, of course, be early to sound the alarm, since pregnant women at 16, and even more so at 15-14 are more likely an exception than a rule, but, as experts say, their number is growing. Slowly, but alas, this is a regularity. Moms are getting younger, the age of women in labor is decreasing.
It should be remembered that if a girl, but almost a girl, is pregnant at 16 years old, then this pregnancy is not just a consequence of unprotected sexual intercourse. Not. The reasons lie much deeper and more tragic.
Consider the main ones. Firstly, pregnancy can happen in families where in a special favor increased custody. She chokes and interferes with life. And nowhere to go from this parental care. Everything seems to be good: the girl is full, shod and can live in abundance, but they don’t perceive her as an adult and do not speak equal, heart to heart. And everything from a position - we are parents and we know better. So get and in this case: pregnant at 16, like a cry for help, as proof of adulthood and shock therapy for parents who do not want to hear the daughter. But this is not the only reason, but only "one of."
Early pregnancy can occur simply because the teenager does not have reliable information. And again, the strings lead to the parents. They didn’t explain where the children came from, they didn’t talk about contraceptives, they didn’t teach how to strive first for social and psychological maturity, and only then take responsibility and enter into relationships. These notorious "not" result in the fact that we have: "I am 16 years old, I am pregnant." And then tears, reproaches, and even suicide attempts begin. Alas, pregnancy is a lot of stress even for trained parents, but what can we say when it is like a bolt from the blue for a teenager? And in this case, the girl needs support as never before.
What are the other causes of such early pregnancies? And they are simple and terrible at the same time. It could be rape. Yes, we live in a society where a woman, and especially a young one, is a desirable target for violence. In almost any Russian city, it is worth (or rather, not worth it) to leave home after 21-22 hours, as the probability of being robbed, raped, crippled increases significantly. Alas, experts here do not bode well for us. Crime is only gaining momentum and the police cannot stop it, even after loud renaming and reform.
But here again, the reason is to look for the reason in the parents - why was the daughter at this time outside the parental home? Maybe it’s easier for her not to be at home, to run away to friends or just wander around the street than to be under the same roof with her parents? Of course, rape can happen at home, usually it happens when people with criminal inclinations have access to the house, of course, with the consent of adults.
So what happens in that case? Yes, the conclusion is obvious. If your daughter is pregnant at 16 or earlier, which also happens more often, all the strings, whatever one may say, are drawn to the parents. And you need to educate and be angry with yourself. Alas, the contact with the child was lost. Or he was not at all.
But the ensuing pregnancy does not mean that everything is over and lost. In the end, life goes on anyway. If the parents did not notice the first bells, then shock therapy is carried out, which was mentioned above.
Look for contact with the child, do not lose it, be interested in how your child lives, but not from the position of control and guardian, but from the position of a friend and equal.
