Astral Cloud Kite is a flying mount in World of Warcraft. It was added in the Mists of Pandaria update and immediately became a lust for many players who like to collect all kinds of rarities.
But getting this mount is not so easy, because for this you will have to go through a difficult raid repeatedly. Moreover, success largely depends on luck, so you can spend days, weeks, and even months to achieve your goal. Nevertheless, the result fully justifies all the efforts expended.
Description
Legends say that astral cloud serpents know almost all the secrets of life. Unfortunately, these creatures do not know how to talk and, accordingly, cannot share their knowledge with anyone. However, this does not make the mount less valuable.
The astral cloud serpent, which players can use as a means of transportation, is a typical representative of its kind. It has a translucent body, inside of which there are bright stars that form the constellation. Also, the snake has four legs, a long tail and a mustache, characteristic of many creatures that live in Pandaria.
As for the characteristics, the speed of flight and the movement of the mount depends on the riding skill of your character. The larger it is, the faster the snake moves. Also note that to tame the mount, your character must be at least level 90 and have the riding skill, pumped to the level of "Master".
Getting
In order to become the owner of the mount, you will first need to get the reins of the Astral Cloud Serpent - a special item needed to tame this creature. He, in turn, falls into the Mogu Shan dungeon, the entrance to which you will find in the location of Kun-Lai Summit, located in the vast Pandaria.
Reins can only be obtained after defeating Elegon, the fifth boss you meet during the dungeon. Once you defeat him, you can search the Starry Casket, inside which, in fact, there may be an object necessary for summoning the mount.
Keep in mind that the chance of reins falling is approximately 1%, so you most likely will not be able to get them on the first try. However, it is quite realistic if luck is on your side. Also, do not try to increase your chances with the Great Amulet of Fortune. The developers officially announced that it does not affect the likelihood of receiving a mount.
Useful Tips
If you play on the server where the Mists of Pandaria update is installed, you will have to assemble a full-fledged group to complete the dungeon. At the same time, you can get the mount only in the usual or heroic mode, and when using the "Group Search", it simply does not drop out.
If you play on an update of Warlords of Draenor or higher, you can quite pass the dungeon alone. To do this, it will be enough to acquire good equipment and thoroughly learn the gameplay for your class.
