What can not be pregnant: beliefs or not?

When a woman finds out that she is expecting a baby, she seems to begin to live anew. From this moment, everything in life is changed, simple things become complicated, the view of the world and oneself in this world is fundamentally changing. The question immediately arises - what should not be eaten during pregnancy? Fortunately, there is the Internet and you do not need to study a bunch of books, as in the old days, in search of valuable recommendations on the menu for future mothers. And a woman in a delicate position can only have healthy food, and even then not all. Everyone knows that it is impossible for pregnant women to be fat and sweet in large quantities, as well as salty and smoked. But not all are aware of the fact that it is not advisable to eat even some fruits and vegetables. In particular, dark fruit varieties are not recommended , citrus fruits - since they can cause allergies in the baby, watermelon and grapes - due to excessive liquid content, in order to avoid dropsy.

You can write a whole book about pregnant women’s diet. The fact is that in the first months, many women are faced with toxicosis. As a result of the speech, it’s not that the diet doesn’t go in, they can generally be prescribed additional medication - in droppers. But as soon as toxicosis passes, future mothers begin to catch up. They eat everything, day and night, tormenting their husbands with constant whims. But one day they suddenly find out that it’s time to go on a diet. Then the struggle of the mind with the stomach begins.

What should not be pregnant? They can’t do much, but the most important thing is not to do things that wouldn’t do any good for a non-pregnant woman. For example, to smoke and drink alcohol, eat without measure and violate the diet. And even more so, in no case should you use narcotic and psychotropic substances, dangerous medicines, or undergo x-rays and radiation. Of course, you still need to give up extreme sports, not to parachute or engage in active sports.

But why can not you get a haircut during pregnancy? This is not a ban on medicine, it is a custom, or even a prejudice of the past, as some believe. But, nevertheless, many adhere to it and stubbornly do not cut or dye their hair during pregnancy. And it all started with a belief that by cutting her hair, a woman shortens the life of her unborn baby. Someone will say that this is complete nonsense, and will, perhaps, be right. But pregnant women are a special category of people to whom the opinions of others are alien and all sorts of superstitions are close. They prefer not to take risks, even knowing that these are just superstitions. But you never know ?!

It is also believed that pregnant women should not be knitted, sewn, cut. Allegedly, the child may become entangled in the umbilical cord, as if in a string that his mother is holding in her hands. And, indeed, children often have entangled umbilical cord. But no one has yet established that this is due to the threads that mother knits. But you really want to knit something pretty for your baby in the decree!

The fact that you can’t be pregnant and prepare a dowry in advance is also very inconvenient. This is also a bad sign, supposedly. But if in reality one does not prepare for discharge from the hospital, then there will be many problems, unless, of course, one of the family members does not go to children's stores for days on end. A dowry for a newborn is usually prepared not in one month. To do this, you need to make lists of everything you need and go around a lot of children's supermarkets in search of all kinds of little things. And how to imagine an extract from the hospital when there isn’t even a crib at home? Of course, at the beginning of the baby, you can even put it in the basket, it still does not turn over. In general, each pregnant woman decides for herself - to cook her dowry or not, which prejudices to neglect, and which to take for the truth. In the end, it is she who is responsible for the new life that she carries under her heart.
