When a tiny little man gains new skills and begins to move around the house on their own, parents suddenly realize that they were in such a hurry and hurried time, wanting the baby to turn over as soon as possible, sit down and crawl. A small "tornado", confidently worn on all fours, can develop a fairly decent speed and demolish everything in its path. Books, vases, statuettes, standing on low open shelves - all this will be in the hands of a curious child, not only in the hands, but also in the mouth.
Of course, mothers and fathers try to protect the child from dangerous objects and from those things that he can ruin if possible. But to be constantly next to the baby is quite problematic, because no one has canceled other chores around the house. In the meantime, mom cooks borsch, the peanut can have time oh how much ... And then the playpen for children will come to the rescue - convenient, stable and absolutely safe for the crumbs!
Some parents prefer to keep their babies in the crib (while they cannot deal with them). However, child psychologists say that the crib should be associated with the baby with sleep, and not with daytime pastime. In addition, the bed is not particularly mobile and is unlikely to be able to carry it along with you throughout the apartment.
Another option is to seat the peanut in a highchair. In this case, the baby will be in full view all the time, so it won’t turn anything upside down or break anything. But this is not the best way out: firstly, the child will quickly become bored, and secondly, he will lose the ability to move, which is not too useful for a growing organism. In addition, some peanuts quickly learn to get out of seatbelts and famously get up in chairs, so mom should be on the alert all the time.
You can block the child’s approach to the “strategically dangerous zones” with the help of boxes, suitcases and other improvised materials, creating a kind of barrier around the child. However, this is not too convenient, far from always reliable (many interesting creatures easily climb over such barriers), and sometimes it’s not even safe.
Acquaintance with the arena - optimal age
Not all children enthusiastically accept the playpen, especially if they are already used to unlimited freedom of movement. Therefore, mom and dad should already from 3-4 months of the baby's life slowly accustom him to stay in the arena. If such an acquaintance occurs at the age of six months or older, then you should be interested in a peanut - put bright toys in the playpen, turn on pleasant music or funny children's songs and spend a little time next to the baby. You need to act gradually, patiently accustoming the baby to the playpen and not leaving him alone for a long time (especially at first).
How to choose a playpen
Of course, loving parents are very concerned about the question of how to choose a playpen for children? After all, I really want to buy a quality thing that will faithfully serve the baby. Most importantly, the playpen must be stable! The child will try to get up, holding on to its sides or net, so if the playpen is swinging, then it is better to refrain from buying it. If possible, it is better to choose a large playpen with a wide base - it is characterized by increased stability and not so clearly restricts freedom, but, in addition, it will fit many toys. The playpen should be made of high-quality materials and not have sharp edges, and it is very desirable that its sides, which babies often bite and which may fall when dropped, are rubberized or upholstered with fabric. It is also important that the playpen can be easily washed, because you will have to do this quite often.
For those who regularly or periodically travel with a child, a playpen bed can be useful, which is great not only for wakefulness, but also for sleep. Such a playpen for children folds compactly, has a bag for carrying and is very helpful in case of spending the night with a child at a party or in the country, as well as when traveling to the sea.
However, parents should not forget that even the most beautiful playpen for children limits the freedom of the baby, so you should not leave the baby there for a long time. As soon as adults have a free minute, it is worth releasing a peanut “out of the blue”, without waiting until he cries to ask for it to be done. If possible, it is best to install the playpen in the field of view of the mother (s) in order to be able to smile from time to time and talk to him. The playpen should remain the parent magic wand, and not the permanent place of stay of the child during waking hours, and then the baby will surely fall in love with his bright and beautiful little house!
