Where only Courier will not bring fate in his journey through the Mojave. In a city filled with smoke with crucified people along the street or a bunker full of reasonable walks. But now we will talk about a more mundane journey, although this is no less frightening, namely, about the quest "Abduction" in Fallout New Vegas.
Background
In his travels through the wasteland, the Courier will sooner or later wander into the city called Novak, which is located on the way to the Strip. The town looks extremely gloomy, however, you can not expect more from the scorched desert. Against the background of an extremely nondescript species, a local landmark stands out - a huge dinosaur Dinki.
If you go around this urban symbol, you will notice a lone figure in a red beret in the mouth of a dinosaur . Once inside, the Courier will stumble upon a small souvenir shop, inside of which, mainly, smaller copies of the dinosaur are sold. Having noticed the irony of what is happening, the Courier will go upstairs to Dinki's mouth. There, an acquaintance with a mysterious figure - Craig Boone - will take place.
He will tell his sentimental story. His wife, Carla, was kidnapped by Legion soldiers. Boone immediately rushed after them in pursuit, but was late. He overtook her in the slave market, surrounded by many legionnaires, could not save her and did as the NKR snipers teach. With one accurate shot he saved her from suffering. So begins the quest "Abduction" in Fallout New Vegas.
Immersed in deep depression, Bun suspects everyone and everyone in Novak. That is why he perks up to learn that the Courier is not from the locals. Then he asks for help, wants to avenge his wife. Its part of the investigation is to demolish the culprit’s head, and the Courier’s task is to find this very head and bring it to the mouth of the dinosaur Dinki at night. It is almost impossible to refuse such a charming request, and therefore the investigation begins.
Suspects
So begins the investigation of the abduction in Fallout New Vegas. Since Bun suspects everyone, it’s worth starting with each one individually.
The main suspect is Manny Vargas, a longtime friend of Boone. Now between them a slight chill in the relationship due to the fact that Manny was glad that Carla disappeared, which he did not like. Later we learn that Manny was originally against the wife of Boone. He considered her arrogant and overly picky. In addition, she always wanted to leave “this hole” - Novak, and Manny did not like the idea of parting with a friend.
Dusty and Ellis McBride generally have little understanding of who they are talking about; there is no way to get information from them.
Ranger Andy spends all the time in his bungalow. He will describe Karl very peacefully, but not forgetting to point out her arrogance. The suspect in the sale of slaves from him is rather weak. Firstly, he is a NKR ranger, and they are at war with the Legion. Secondly, he is black.
Cliff Briscoe is a harmless souvenir merchant inside the Dinki dinosaur. She talks about Karl quite neutrally, but at the same time looks suspicious with all her dinosaurs.
Jenny May Crawford is a charming granny, a motel hostess and just a courteous woman. She suggests that Carla escaped herself. Of course, we know that this is not so, but the granny does not need to know about it.
Nelai Noonan is an unusual citizen. But, despite the fact that he gained a reputation as a "local madman", he is able to give out useful information.
Consequence
Nelai, the craziest of the useful and the most rewarding of the lunatics, will help us in promoting the matter. He tells the Courier that he saw "creatures from the shadows" that crept into Boon's room and then just as quietly disappeared. One of them, however, decided to look into the lobby of the motel.
Now follow in the footsteps of a mysterious creature. In the hall we find no one but a pretty old woman, who now does not seem so harmless. And, watching a suspicious old woman, the Courier may notice a floor safe right under her feet.
After waiting for the night, the Courier breaks into a safe with a simple lock (or steals the key from Jenny May) and finds a contract of sale. After reading unnecessary questions, there is no time left and the time comes for a sentence. With this, we will complete the final part of collecting evidence of a planned abduction in Fallout New Vegas.
At midnight, we summon her to the Dinki dinosaur, saying that they found something interesting there. All grannies love gossip and secrets, so she willingly agrees. We put on the given Bun takes, call Jenny May to him, directly opposite the mouth of the dinosaur, and carefully look into her eyes.
Total
As a result of the job of abducting his wife in Fallout New Vegas, the player can get a different result. If the Courier has found a contract and brought an insidious old woman to the slaughter, he gains experience, takes the 1st reconnaissance battalion, good karma and Buna as partners. There is also the opportunity to bring anyone from Novak to the scaffold. However, if the Courier cannot later prove the guilt of the innocently killed (using the eloquence "55"), then he will face the loss of karma and aggression from the sniper.
