But sometimes it is impossible to do this, so you have to feed the kitten yourself.
A newborn kitten needs milk, so it’s worth starting with it. Take two tablespoons of medium-fat milk, add a pinch of sugar or a drop of honey, slightly warm it (to 30 - 33 degrees) and start feeding. If you are feeding a kitten from the first days of life, then know that in the first ten days you will have to do this every two to three hours, even at night. Each day, the serving should be increased by a teaspoon. Then you can add a little porridge, cooked in the same way as for a newborn child.
In the first days of life, the kitten will eat well from a small bottle with a pacifier, not
try pipetting it or stuffing food with a spoon. She can get into the respiratory tract and cause choking.
After a month, a newborn kitten will be able to digest meat, while it is necessary to select dietary varieties. Roll a pea-sized ball out of meat, put it in the baby’s mouth and wait until the “beast” tastes a new, unfamiliar food. However, you should not get involved in meat - this can adversely affect the work of the intestines. From the eighth week you can transfer your ward to feed for kittens.
In addition to proper and balanced nutrition, a newborn kitten needs proper care. You have to wash it, however, this does not mean that it should be a full bath with shampoo - just wipe the wool with a damp cloth.
You have to equip the "nest" for the baby - a place where so far he will spend most of his life. It may be some kind of box in which it would be possible to maintain the temperature - after all, the kitten is still too small, and he needs additional heat. Under normal conditions, the cat warms the babies who are pressed against it. You will have to use a heating pad wrapped in a towel.
