Once a year, at the end of January, in the social. networks there is a surge in activity. “Classmates”, “VKontakte”, “Facebook” and “Twitter” boil photo collages from the school album and statuses: “I'm going to the evening of the meeting. Who is with me? ", Or" Guys! Well it's been 20 years! We need to meet and discuss! ” We sometimes love to meet with the past and at least briefly return to childhood.
Portal to the Past
On the first Saturday of February, the schoolyard is filled not with parents and children, but with former students - respectable men and beautiful ladies. This holiday is called graduation day. And again the school bell rings, and the tights that have become small desks tear, and the aged teacher meets on the threshold of the class, and the grown boys and girls peer into each other's faces, looking for familiar features.
“Do you remember?”
The meeting of school graduates is always held under the same motto: “Do you remember?” This phrase sounds from all sides. And everyone remembers something that everyone else has already forgotten. Old love and resentment, victory and defeat, pranks and revelations come up. All bad things are forgiven, good things are savored. To the question: “Well, how are you? Where are you now?" - a quick response follows and again refrain: “Do you remember?”
Official part
Like any self-respecting holiday, a graduation day also has its own rules. And it all starts with a solemn meeting on the threshold of the school, continues with a concert and, after a tour of the school, ends behind closed classrooms. The concert, which is being prepared by the host, that is, the school, is held under the same popular motto - “Do you remember?” Considering that those who are preparing a concert cannot objectively remember former graduates or know something about them, cliches in endless school sketches become clear. Information goes general - “buttons on the chair”, “soap board”, “deuce again”. We have to admit that the originality and diversity of the prom does not pamper. That is why less and less graduates come to these meetings at school. Most often they gather right away in a restaurant or cafe. To rectify this situation, one should not wait for favors from the school, but plan their meeting themselves, take care of both entertainment and communication.
Competition
In order to see the school, to keep yourself busy, and not to get bored, you need, for example, a couple of weeks before the holiday to collect in a heap all the photos of school years that anyone has, and to give classmates the task of collecting a story with a photo collage from them. And on the day of the alumni meeting, the best story will be chosen and, with the help of a printer or simply on disks, it will be propagated to everyone. Agree, there will already be something to do between the concert and the cafe. And participation in contests is a good motivator.
Communication
The most important moment of the alumni meeting is undoubtedly communication. And so that it does not freeze even for a minute, you need an “activist and handsome man” who knows everything about everyone and knows how to direct the conversation. Toastmaster class, or as they used to say - the cultural sector. If you think carefully, then in each class there was such a person. It should be honored to not let the rest get bored. This does not mean that he should prepare contests and games. He just has to be in communication all evening to unite the whole class with his attention.
There is a note of sadness in this holiday. Easy bitterness, that we must again say goodbye to childhood and return to adulthood. But this day gives such an unprecedented charge of energy and optimism that the day of the meeting of graduates is worth visiting at least for its therapeutic effect.
