Thus, the oldest festival dedicated to motherhood is rightfully considered a colorful festival dedicated to the goddess Rey. It was celebrated in the spring. From the sources of Greek mythology, Ray is the wife of the god Kronos, as well as the mother of ancient gods and goddesses.
In ancient Rome, local residents began to celebrate a holiday dedicated to the mother goddess Cybele, against the background of religious beliefs. Mother was revered for three whole days - from March 15 to March 18.
A special celebration was the celebration of all mothers in England in the 17th century. On the fourth week of Lent before Easter, children presented their mothers with a kind of traditional gift. It was a baked cake decorated with twelve marzipan balls. On this day, every mother finally felt like a real woman: her husband exempted from daily routine work in the kitchen.
