Paratrooper Day is not official, but it is widely celebrated in Russia by military parachutists, people involved in parachuting, and just amateurs. This holiday dates back to 1930. On July 26 of that year, Soviet pilots, led by V. Mukhortov, first parachuted over the city of Voronezh. After such a successful event, by order of the Air Force Research Institute , military pilots were equipped with rescue equipment. That day four more jumps were made. And already within three days more than 30 people jumped with a parachute.
