How is it more profitable to upgrade the printer - CISS or PZK

Not so long ago, the results of comparing the operating costs of laser and inkjet printers were clearly not in favor of the latter - refilling a toner cartridge or completely replacing it was much cheaper than replacing ink cartridges. And they didn’t even think about the possibility of refilling ink until a certain point, at least on a professional level - it was the destiny of the “Kulibins”, and these operations were carried out at your own peril and risk and did not always end successfully for everyone — printheads often left out of service. Although this, of course, depended on the work experience and the level of skill of the owner of the printer ... But then the situation seriously changed, the inkjet consumables market ceased to be monopolistic - serious manufacturers appeared offering non-original, but very high-quality inks. And after the ink, more interesting things appeared - refillable cartridges and continuous ink supply systems. But what is more needed for the ordinary owner of an ordinary home inkjet printer?

It all depends on the print volume. Although, of course, you need to consider not only needs, but also opportunities - if, for example, CISS for Canon MFP in Krasnodar or another large settlement can still be found, then with the slam-shut device, especially for new models of printers, certain problems may arise. But back to volumes ... As research has shown, it makes sense to set the CISS in the case of printing really intense - when more than 400 documents printed in color or about a hundred full-color A4 photos come off the printer per week. Then it really justifies itself, but if you print a little and rarely, it’s better to do with a slam-shut device, since the CISS is a rather complicated thing in the installation, besides, given the fierce resistance to the use of non-original supplies from printer manufacturers, sometimes requiring significant changes to the design of the device itself.

But if you really have to print a lot, then CISS is definitely more profitable. In addition, it also helps to extend the life of the printer - after all, you do not have to remove the cartridges, neither the contact groups of the chips, nor the print head are completely affected (it’s no secret that mainly problems with this unit arise during dismantling and installing back ink tanks). By the way, according to some studies (although, for obvious reasons, they were unofficial) when installing CISS on office printers, inkjet devices can be made even more profitable than laser ones.
