Advantages of Beetle Armor in Terraria

RPG games smoothly bring the player to ensure that he improves his inventory of equipment and other items. It is difficult to survive in such games without good armor, since the player’s health bar depends on it. The denser the hero is dressed, the more likely he is to survive in the next battle.

Terraria provided players with the opportunity to enhance their defenses by creating stronger armor. Usually, such sets of armor are much more difficult to obtain than less effective ones. Therefore, the players have another choice, on which the gameplay depends.

Typically, users of such games adhere to a clear strategy - to hardly obtain the necessary ingredients for crafting, and then create the desired things. It becomes easier for the outfitted hero to survive in those conditions that previously seemed unbearably difficult to him.

In Terraria, the Beetle's Armor is one of the best equipment options for warriors and melee lovers. It consists of a helmet, a bib or chain mail and leggings. This set is an improved version of the Turtle Armor.

To create the entire set you will need the following items:

  • Mithril / Orichalcus anvil as a workplace.
  • 18 carapace of beetle. The item drops out after killing a golem in the Jungle Temple in an amount of 4-8 pieces (in the expert mode - 18-23 pieces).
  • Turtle Armor Kit (details are provided below).

It consists of a helmet, armor and boots made of turtle shell.

To craft this equipment you need the following:

  • Mithril / Orichalcus anvil as a workplace.
  • 3 tortoise shells. 6% fall out with a probability of a giant tortoise in the ground and underground jungle.
  • 54 chlorophyte ingots.

One ingot is crafted from 6 pieces of chlorophyte ore, which appears after the killing of the Wall of Flesh in the underground and terrestrial jungle. Mining requires a tool of 200% strength.

There is a special way to farm ores (chlorophytic in this case differs from all others in that it can grow, turning dirt into ore):

  • 30 square blocks of dirt are created (size 5 x 5).
  • At the center of each is chlorophyte ore.
  • After some time, it will begin to spread in blocks.

Beetle Chainmail and Chestpiece

The player is given a choice of two items of equipment - chain mail and a bib. The first one is for players who specialize in dealing damage, and the bib is for taking more damage on themselves, ensuring safety for other players.

Chain mail increases the player’s damage due to the frequency of strikes. Under certain conditions, damage increases to 30%. A set of armor gives 61 units of protection.

The bib reduces player damage (up to 45%). And gives the owner a bonus to increase the level of threat. The Beetle's armor in Terraria gives 73 points of defense.
