Every year on December 27, Russia celebrates one of the country's most important holidays - Rescuer Day. This date was not chosen by chance - in 1990 the Russian rescue corps appeared on that day. In addition, this date is considered the date of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which is why Russia’s Day of Rescuer is celebrated on this day.
Emergencies and situations occur constantly: either a forest fire, then explosions in houses, then malfunctions in the pipeline, then fires in factories and factories, then releases of radioactive and chemical substances, then large-scale accidents on railways. Such situations cannot be listed. And regardless of whether an epidemiological, natural or man-made disaster occurred - none other than the rescuers of the Ministry of Emergencies are involved in its elimination.
When some kind of emergency occurs, rescuers appear first at the scene of the tragedy. They are always in a hurry to help where their strength and fearlessness are required, whether it be a flood, a blockage or a traffic accident.
These are truly brave guys, saving thousands of lives every day, risking their own. Well, think for yourself, how can you not celebrate the Day of the Savior of the Russian Federation? Therefore, if there are rescuers among your relatives and friends, do not forget to congratulate them and wish that there would be less emergency in their life.
By the way, Rescue Day is marked not only by congratulations and awards of rescue people. Particular attention is paid to dogs that are engaged in saving people.
In the modern world, indispensable helpers of people, specially trained German shepherds, are used for rescue operations after natural disasters and to search for victims. For such hard work, this breed was not chosen by chance: they are better than all other dogs adapted to extreme weather conditions and are perfectly amenable to the most rigorous training.
But to save people on the water, Newfoundlands are used that can work even in a very strong storm. This breed of dog is excellent in water and understands its main purpose. Well, St. Bernards are considered specialists in rescuing skiers and climbers.
Many touching moments are observed when, during a rescue on water, a rescue dog swims up to the victim or drowning in a special vest. Further, the dog enables the person to hold on to himself, delivering him in this way to land. There are times when the victim on the water is unconscious, then the dog itself pulls him ashore. Isn't that an amazing sight?
Recently, a lot of the latest technologies and techniques have come to the rescue of rescuers, but the most effective and efficient method of search and rescue on the water remains dog training. After all, dog intuition and smell cannot be replaced by anything: a four-legged rescuer has an enviable ability to “notice” the faintest odors and distinguish them among many unnecessary ones. It is proved that one rescue dog replaces the work of ten people.
And the biggest reward of the fourth savior is the salvation of human life, and indeed of any other living creature. Imagine the fact that if a dog fails to save a person or if he doesn’t find any living people, he will begin to experience severe depression. Therefore, on Rescue Day it is very important to pay special attention to rescue dogs, rewarding not only people, but also our furry friends for the exploits.
