The cap from the newspaper is most often associated with repair. This is probably due to the tradition from the Soviet era, when before gluing the walls with wallpaper it was necessary to “decorate” the surfaces with paper canvases of periodicals. And to protect hair from paint and glue, a headdress was also made of the same material. In addition, in those days, any summer hats were in short supply, so folded newspapers were very popular. But in our time, the use of homemade paper hats is sometimes the only way out of these situations. For example, being in the country, are you afraid of getting a heat stroke? Or, perhaps, sitting on the river bank with a fishing rod under the scorching sun, you lost your broad-brimmed hat due to a gust of wind? There is only one way out - a hat from the newspaper, folded in the simplest way in the form of a boat. When performing the work, the simplest technique of the most ancient art is used - origami. Following the suggested instructions and descriptions, you can make a fashionable and practical hat quickly and without unnecessary problems.
Paper hat : a huge selection of design
The most commonly used, of course, is an ordinary large-format newspaper. But you can also take thick paper, such as Whatman paper. When making an original headdress with your child, decorate a folding origami hat with a colored application or drawings with pencils and paints. As a result, you will get a unique little thing that the baby will be happy to wear on sunny summer days. Therefore, depending on the desired end result, you need to prepare a large newspaper or piece of whatman paper, pencils, felt-tip pens, paints, colored paper, scissors and glue.
Hat from the newspaper : the order of work
- To keep the cap in good shape, it is better to use the largest newspaper with two spreads. Fold the blank in half to form two layers of the future headgear.
- Fold the resulting rectangle again.
- The basis of the future cap is ready. Position the newspaper on the table so that the fold is the top horizontal line. Follow the instructions below.
- Bend the two upper upper corners, roll diagonally so that they meet each other. From below there should be a space of three to four centimeters. This is the future "rim", covering the head in a circle.
- Wrap up half of the free space of the newspaper below.
- Do the same on the back of the cap. You can carry out the first fitting. If the heading from the newspaper is a little too big for you, you need to expand the workpiece in its original state and cut the base a little to the side to reduce the width.
- The final stage is the repeated bending of the lower inversion and strengthening of the corners.
Different patterns of paper hats
In addition to the proposed folding method, there are several others. The resulting paper models can look like in the form of caps or be mini-caps. Having mastered the proposed option for making caps from newspapers, you can make other variants of wardrobe gizmos. Imagine and try new ways to create unique accessories!
