In theory, the game Prey 2 is associated with the version of Prey, which was introduced back in 2006. However, this is not its direct continuation. Development

Bethesda officially announced plans to restart the Prey computer game at a conference two years after it stopped working on Prey 2. The new product was supposed to be the brainchild of a team led by Rafael Copantonio, CEO of Arcane Studios. The developers had plans to create a game that did not resemble the original version and the achievements of its canceled second part.

The plot of this product arose from Copantonio at a time when he was traveling by plane. After that, over the course of the year, his team came up with the concept of the game’s history, the design of its levels and their structure. Game designer Chris Avellone, who took an active part in creating the product, was invited to create quests.





The concept of the main idea was connected with the passage of a mega-dungeon that the player could freely explore. For this, the developers used a space station filled with hostile aliens. Composing their requirements for Prey 2, the developers did not try to come up with a variety of puzzles that have the only true solution. They created a dynamic and vibrant fantasy world in which various tasks are proposed that have different solutions.

Conducting one of his interviews, Ricardo Bare, the project’s lead designer, pointed out that the game doesn’t have level downloads that describe the upcoming mission. In it, only the character moves around the space station, the appearance of which is constantly changing.

System requirements

Bethesda in its game decided to choose CryEngine as its engine. But this, however, did not particularly change the system requirements of Prey 2 for the computer. The minimum ones are as follows:

Knowing the cheat codes of Prey 2, you can safely proceed to the game itself, the action of which takes place on a space station called "Talos", hovering in the orbit of the moon. This huge aircraft belongs to a private company studying aliens called typhons.

The main hero of the game is the scientist Morgan Yu. From the first minutes of the passage, this character finds out that he was deceived, creating a false reality. The destruction of the illusion occurs at a time when the aliens that the scientist used to conduct research break out of the walls of the laboratory. This is where the chaos begins, in which the hero will have to figure it out. So, let's start by going through part 1 of Prey 2.

First day at work

To complete Prey 2 you will need to select the gender of the character. It can be male or female. The game begins with waking up in your own bed. The hero is called by his brother, whose name is Alex Yu. He asks to pack up as soon as possible and come to the Transtar office. It turns out that behind the glass is not a balcony at all, but a laboratory. The image of the city is just a hologram. Here the hero needs to inspect the nearest computer. In it, he will find an audio message containing those words with which Alex Yu met him in the first part of the game. But you should not linger for a long time. We have to rise to the second floor. If desired, you can turn to a dead end located on the left side. Here is the point where the helipad is controlled from. But caution is necessary because of the possibility of an attack by two monsters. “January” talks about the fact that they are strong and cunning creatures. They can disguise themselves as ordinary objects, unexpectedly attacking people and taking their energy.

Being in the location "Department of neuromods", we go inside the room. If we begin to examine the body of Dr. Bellamy, we will receive a task called "Disappearing Corpse." We go to the room located on the right, and take the red pass located on the table, with which you can go to the simulation laboratory. Here we immediately see a black monster phantom. After that, we pass along the corridor and, after examining the corpse of the guard, we get a “GIPS gun”. It will become our new weapon, with which you can first immobilize enemies, and then kill them with a wrench.

The task “Everything will change”

Being in the central hall, we break a showcase. From the skull lying here, do not forget to get a neuromode. With the help of this item it will be possible to acquire any specific skill. This may be the profession of a scientist, engineer or security guard. After mastering the skill, we exit through the white gate, which are on the right, and begin the passage of the third part of the game, which is called "Talos Hall-1".

We enter a large room. Here you can see the map of locations. To do this, press the "M" key. The first of the locations is called the Transtar Exhibition. On the right side is a cabinet. We examine it and find a shotgun, cartridges. We see the safe in the wall. It has many useful weapon upgrades. Pay attention to the computer. Near it lies three neuromods, as well as a pass to the Teleconference Center.

We watch a video from the past from ourselves. In this message, the main character tells that he lost his memory after removing a neuromode from it. That stranger who calls himself “January” is an ordinary robot. He is assigned the functions of an operator who seeks to restore the memory of our character.

We get to the room, which serves as a workshop for Dr. Calvani. When passing the location "Trauma Center" we go down to the second floor and study the hall map on the security computer. We move on to the next location, which is called the "Staff Lounge". We get into this room through the balcony and fight with a couple of facial expressions. We take the audio recording, which lies on the bar. From it we learn the room code for preflight preparation.

We return to our character’s office and break the glass leading to the central hall, after which we pass to the northern part of the third floor.

Passing the location "Sales Department", in his premises we kill the phantom and take a unique weapon, which is called the huntress disticomet. Do not forget to grab the four neuromods that lie in the workplace.

Hardware Lab - Part Four

Continuing the passage of the game, we set off along the corridor located on the left. Here we find a neuromod. We examine the corpse in the auditorium and take a pass for the staff. With it, when passing the next location, "Atrium" we open the doors located in the corridor. Here we find another corpse. Upon examination, we get an audio recording with code 0854. We pass the location "IT-department." We break the mirror in the office, which belongs to the main character, and pass into the hidden corridor with a glass floor. "Psychotronics Laboratory" - the sixth part

"SAGITT" - the seventh part

This area is a large tunnel in which there is zero gravity. Anyone who wants to go through only one main plot should fly through this zone without hesitation. We fly further and get to the station, which serves to control the magnetosphere. Here again we find ourselves in the field of normal gravity. We rise higher. There are nests of cystoids, which can either be destroyed or carefully circumvented. They will not do anything bad to us. Their main danger lies in the emission of radioactive waves.

"Arboretum" - the eighth part

In the Arboretum, the nightmare may block the protagonist. This is a huge guy rising from a two-story house. They created a Nightmare with their collective mind trifons. It is intended specifically for the fight against Morgan Yu. We take into account the fact that this guy is strong, but at the same time very clumsy. We clog into any cramped space and shoot it. Another solution to the problem is flight. We have two minutes to do this.

"Residential section", the ninth part
