The real knights of the tracks, living on the road, knowing every path and road on the map of the country, are, of course, they, truckers. They change a quiet, stable life with work from dawn to dusk to a nervous, tough profession, divorced from family and home. And they also celebrate their professional holiday separately from other drivers.
When is Trucker Day in Russia?
Naturally, like all those who are driving, these people celebrate the world-famous celebration - Motorist Day. This date is floating and usually falls on the last Sunday of October. At least in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, this holiday is officially celebrated that way.
But taking into account which cars are driven by motorists who transport goods over long distances, of what difficulties and dangers they face on their way, the professional holiday Trucker Day is celebrated separately. It is celebrated on the last Sunday of summer. So, Trucker Day 2013 fell on August 31 and completed a series of summer holidays last year.

Among people far from this profession, few people even know about this holiday.
