The appearance of the breed

Karelian bobtail is a cat with a slightly angular shape, because of this the animal seems large, although in fact it has an average size. A triangular, slightly elongated head, not full cheeks, a small but quite noticeable transition from the forehead to the nose, and the nose itself is wide and without a pinch. The eyes are medium sized in the shape of an oval. The color scheme of the eyes is diverse, but yellow-amber color is most often found . Sometimes there is an emerald, light green color, but the Karelian bobtail with eyes of different colors, as well as blue-eyed, is least likely to be found. The eyes are always in harmony with the color of the cat. The ears are straight and high, open forward, usually they are either medium or large. The body of the Karelian bobtail is very strong, all muscles are well developed, the hind legs are usually noticeably longer than the front. The paws themselves are small and neat. Thanks to the small well-groomed legs, the animal looks very elegant. The main feature of these cats is that the Karelian bobtail has a short tail in the form of a pompom.
