There can be quite a few scenarios in which it is necessary to display the image of a phone on a computer screen. Here are reviews of applications, and the creation of instructions, or simply viewing photos and other content.
The task at first glance looks simple, but as soon as you have to proceed to specific actions, many beginners fall into a stupor and do not know how to correctly display the image from the phone to the computer. And if the owners of iPhones and “Macs” do not, as a rule, have such problems, due to smart corporate tools on board, then the owners of android smartphones are much more complicated.
So, let's try to figure out how to output the image from the phone to the computer and do it as painlessly as possible for the user and for his gadget.
Windows 10 - Android - Wi-Fi
We will work with the latest tenth version of Windows, because there such functionality is fully implemented using the Miracast standard. If you have an earlier modification of the operating system, then you can output the image from the phone to the computer via USB without Wi-Fi. But more about that below.
In this case, there is no need to install any additional programs. So, open the Start menu on the computer and go to the “Connect” section, after which a window will appear on the screen, notifying that you are ready to connect.
Connection Features
On the smartphone, you need to open "Settings" and find the "Networks and Connections" section in the menu. Then we click on the sub-item "More ...". Here you must select the "Wireless Display". The latter may be called in some other way and depends on the version of the “Android” platform. After enabling this mode, a list of devices available for projection should appear on the screen. We select the computer name and agree by clicking on "OK."
Now, a window should appear on the desktop of your PC, notifying that the mobile device is trying to connect. We agree with this proposal. Congratulations, you managed to display the image from the phone to the computer using the wireless protocol. To turn off the broadcast, just disconnect the connection on the smartphone by turning off the Wireless Display mode.
Windows XP, 7, 8 - Android - USB
Now let's try to figure out how to output the image from the phone to the computer using the USB cable in earlier versions of Windows. To do this, we need the Google Chrome browser and the extension to it - Vysor.
First of all, you need to enable USB debugging mode on your mobile gadget. To do this, go to the settings, and then open the "For Developers" section and activate this function there. If this item is not in the menu, then you need to click 7-8 times on the line "Build number" in the "About phone" section, after which the necessary options will appear. Next, connect the gadget using a USB cable to the computer.
Already on a PC, you need to run Google Chrome and activate the Vysor extension. After that, a request to connect a smartphone should appear. We agree with the proposed USB debugging and the installation of the Vysor application on your phone should begin.
After installation, a wizard window will appear, offering to configure the connection. You can leave everything by default if the layout of your gadget is the same as that of the monitor - 16 to 9. Otherwise, you need to set the desired projection size.
