The prerequisites for its occurrence were accompanied by terrible events. In 1991, fire departments could not cope with all the dangers that occurred in Belarus. It was then that the state government decided to organize a new unit, which later became the first Ministry of Emergency Situations in the country. From this moment various units began to appear in the state, the purpose of which was to protect the lives of citizens.
Lifeguard Day in Belarus has become a public holiday for employees of all these organizations. The celebration of heroes should always be magnificent, so that people know in the face of those who every day risk their lives for them. Nonetheless, special services workers always remain in the background without advertising their intervention.
