The interior of any room is perfectly complemented by living indoor plants. Indoor indoor flowers purify the air, saturate it with oxygen and, of course, create an atmosphere of comfort. The stores now have a huge selection of indoor plants.
Never deny yourself the pleasure of buying a home flower in a pot. After all, you can independently create whole
compositions from indoor plants, transplanting them into beautiful pots, sometimes even several different species together. This is a huge scope for creativity, for decorating a living room or office. It is noticed that in offices the presence of colors improves performance, improves the microclimate. A house
flower in a pot usually does not require complicated care. It is only necessary to remember some recommendations.
Planting indoor plants
1. Having bought beautiful home-grown flowers at the store, immediately transplant them into a permanent pot. The flower pot should be spacious enough so that the root system of the flower can develop freely, and that there is enough land to preserve moisture. You don’t need to choose a pot too large; your flower will grow slowly. There must be a drainage hole at the bottom of the pot. If a plastic pot is selected and there is no hole in the bottom,
do it yourself with an awl. Plastic pots are good because they are inexpensive and almost impossible to break. A clay pot allows more air to pass through and, thanks to the porous structure of the material, retains moisture. It is imperative that the new clay pot is kept for 2 hours in the water before
planting the flower , so that the clay absorbs the required amount of water and then does not take water from the soil.
2. The soil for each plant family requires its own. Be sure to consult the stores, otherwise a potted home flower may wither away in unsuitable soil. There are ready-made soil mixtures enriched with the necessary fertilizers for each type of flower.
3. For better air exchange at the bottom of the pot you need to pour claydite or gravel in a small layer. A layer of 2 cm is sufficient for a small pot; for large pots, the drainage layer should be larger, approximately 5 cm.
4. After a layer of expanded clay, you can pour soil into the pot. Fill the pot to the middle, and plant the flower in the soil. Top up the soil, not reaching the edge of the pot a couple of centimeters. This is useful during watering so that water does not overflow over the edge of the pot. You can pour a little expanded clay on top. It looks beautiful and helps retain moisture.
Flowers suitable for decorating the balcony
If you want to decorate the balcony, choose summer plants: begonia, azalea, gerbera, kalanchoe, etc. Remember that a house flower in a pot sometimes needs to be transplanted to another container. Be sure to find out the features of the plant that you purchased. Different types of indoor plants have very different requirements for watering and care. There is a lot of information about home flowers on the Internet, a photo will help you recognize your flower (sometimes the same look may look different).
A home flower in a pot should be regularly sprayed with water and wipe the leaves from dust.
