Pregnancy test before delay. Which to choose

There is no woman in the world before whom the question of the necessity of diagnosing an early pregnancy does not arise. Each time it is difficult to run to the gynecologist, take blood for analysis or undergo an ultrasound, especially if there are still a few days before the date of the alleged menstruation. The easiest and most affordable way to diagnose a pregnancy test is to delay. Many girls will wonder if an early pregnancy test will be effective. Let's figure it out.

Highly sensitive pregnancy tests are popular today . They are highly reliable. Their principle of action is that each test contains a substance that responds to the hormone gonadotropin in a woman’s urine. This hormone begins to be released literally immediately after the embryo enters the walls of the uterus. This usually happens 7-10 days after the onset of fertilization. After this, an increase in its concentration is observed, it doubles and reaches the level where the test can "see" it. Therefore, it is very important to conduct a pregnancy test before a delay not immediately after the alleged fertilization, but on average two weeks later.

The optimal time for the test is the third day of delayed menstruation. But if you need to know the result earlier, each pharmacy sells highly sensitive pregnancy tests. They are also called inkjet tests. What is their working principle? If conception has occurred, the level of hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) in a woman’s blood will be more than 100 mIU / ml by the first day of the menstrual cycle. In urine, this level is 2 times less. Each modern highly sensitive test is able to identify a concentration of gonadotropin in the amount of 10-20 mIU / ml. It follows that the test can be carried out before the delay. Nevertheless, when conducting a pregnancy test in the early stages, it is definitely worth repeating it after a couple of days, or better even more than once, to eliminate an error.

A pregnancy test before the delay is a good tool, but it is worth listening to your body, as it can signal the onset of pregnancy by some signs:

  • bloating appeared, there are pulling pains in the lower back or sacrum;
  • there are frequent urges to urinate;
  • the mammary glands swelled, their sensitivity increased. Venous vessels began to appear through the skin of the chest;
  • a dark strip appeared on the stomach, which runs from the pubis to the navel;
  • during pregnancy, rectal temperature rises (more than 37 degrees). Accurate readings will only be obtained by measuring the temperature in the rectum after waking up.
  • nausea, and even vomiting, often appear;
  • there is a change in smell and taste preferences;
  • there are frequent mood swings, increased drowsiness, fatigue.

Of course, the presence of one of these signs does not mean your pregnancy. Nowadays you will not surprise anyone with increased fatigue and nausea, yet we live in suffocating cities. But a combination of several of them can be a signal that you should conduct a pregnancy test before the delay of menstruation.

There are several types of tests:

- ULTRA - a test strip that can determine pregnancy from the seventh day of conception.

- SEZAM - test cassette that allows you to determine pregnancy from the seventh day of fertilization. The difference from the strip is that the test can be carried out at any time of the day, and not just in the morning.

- DUET - inkjet test. Also determines pregnancy on the seventh day of conception. Its feature is that for its carrying out there is no need to collect urine, just substitute its tip under a stream of urine.
