The Canon CL-441 cartridge is suitable for a number of Canon PIXMA low-cost inkjet printers. Before refilling the cartridge, make sure that it is operational. If the printer has been idle for a long time without work, it is likely that the ink is dry and the cartridge will need to be washed.
Preparing for refueling and refueling
The ink in the cartridges of Canon inkjet printers is held by a special sponge. Therefore, when refueling CL-441 there is no need to ensure the tightness of the cartridge.
As a rule, the refueling process is not very difficult even for a beginner in this business. To refill a color cartridge, three 10 ml syringes are required. A fully-filled syringe is sufficient to fully refill the cartridge. It is advisable to take ink specially designed for cartridges of this series. Use of universal ink is not recommended.
Each syringe draws ink of its own color (yellow, blue, red). A sticker is removed from the cartridge. This is done with special care, since then it will need to be glued into place. If necessary, the filling hole is expanded with a knife, awl or drill with a drill with a diameter of 4 mm. The syringe is inserted into the CL-441 refill hole, after which ink is carefully inserted into the cartridge. You should not rush. Since it is possible to fill the cartridge with ink, and after that it will have to be washed for a long time. As soon as ink appears at the top of the hole, refilling the CL-441 cartridge must be stopped.
Cleaning
When using one syringe to refill a cartridge with ink of different colors, it should be thoroughly rinsed before using a syringe with ink of a different color. After refilling the CL-441 with all three types of ink, the surface of the cartridge is cleaned with a dry cloth. The label adheres to its original place. If the sticky layer does not hold it on the surface of the cartridge, you can use tape. At the same time, adhesive tape is glued in such a way that part of the air channels remains open.
After gluing the label, the refilled cartridge is installed on a napkin. It is advisable to hold it for several minutes in a canopy. After ink stops flowing out of it, it is washed in warm water and wiped with a napkin. The contact area is wiped with an alcohol-containing solution.
Refueling quality check
To check the quality of refill, the cartridge is inserted into the printer and a test sheet is printed. Before installing the cartridge in the printer, make sure that the contact part is dry, otherwise there is a risk of failure.
If, after refilling the Canon CL-441, the printer refuses to print and a message about an empty cartridge is displayed, you need to reset the ink counter. To do this, press the STOP button and hold it for half a minute. After performing this procedure, the printer will unlock and begin printing.
Recommendations for high-quality refueling CL-441
The following are some important tips.
- CL-441 refueling is recommended with rubber gloves.
- The work surface on which refueling work is carried out must be covered with newspapers or oilcloth.
- When refueling, the syringe needle does not need to be fully immersed. It is enough to lower it only to the middle of the cartridge.
- Refueling must be carried out with proper precautions to prevent ink from getting on clothes, furniture, or body parts.
- If ink gets into your eyes, wash them off immediately with water.
- Refueling should be done on time. A cartridge that prints per day per page will last much longer than a cartridge that prints several times a month.
Possible problems
If resetting the ink level counter does not help resume printing, there is a possibility that an air jam has formed between the cartridge compartments. To fix it, you can shake the cartridge a bit or use a syringe to pump air through the print head.
