Real congratulations on Victory Day

The words of the famous song: “Victory Day, how far he was from us”, now it’s time to pronounce differently: “Victory Day, how far he became from us”. In fact, more than 60 years have passed since this event. Participants in the battles are becoming less and less. Tales of war turn into legends. The facts are forgotten. Time goes on.

But, despite all this, every year hundreds of people on Victory Day take to the streets of cities to honor the memory of those who died for the sake of our happy future and to pay tribute to the heroes of the war.

This day has turned into a real national holiday. There are festivities, evening fireworks. Congratulations on Victory Day are not only addressed to veterans. Everyone is trying to wish each other a peaceful sky above their heads.

For several years now, the St. George ribbon has been a symbol of the holiday. The colors of the tape are black and yellow. Black means the smoke of fighting, and yellow means the embodiment of fire. These colors are a sign of the valor of soldiers in battle. The tradition of distributing tapes appeared in 2005 in Moscow. She was supported by hundreds of Muscovites, and a year later there were hundreds more ribbons. St. George ribbons are handed out for free, many even buy them. Residents of the countries of the former Soviet Union, to which Europe and even North America have recently joined , also attach St. George ribbons. So what is the reason for such a desire of people to wear a ribbon for Victory Day?

This symbolism is a sign of memory and pride. So each person can show that he remembers the exploits of soldiers and honors their memory. Now, making congratulations on Victory Day is simple for everyone; just attach the St. George ribbon. Doing this, as you say: “I remember! IM proud of! I congratulate everyone! ”

There are so few veterans left. On this bright day, I would like not only to bring them my congratulations on the holiday of victory, many seek to show respect and give honor. All war veterans are of advanced age. A bouquet of flowers is one of the simplest, but at the same time sincere congratulations for them. They will smile at the presented bouquet more than once, breathing in its aroma. For veterans, flowers are a symbol of peace and tranquility in their homeland.

Old people are very easy to make happy. It is enough to buy a few flowers and come to the Eternal Flame. There, on Victory Day, veterans will certainly gather. Give flowers, say congratulations on Victory Day. There will be this congratulation in prose or poetry, there is no difference.

On this holiday, you must take children with you to a meeting with veterans. A few years ago, I first took a little son with me to bring my congratulations on Victory Day to veterans and give flowers. We got up early, quickly packed up, bought a large bouquet of carnations near the house.

"Flowers, how many flowers!" - enthusiastically repeated my baby. An identical celebration of veterans has just ended on a square in the city center. I gave the flower to my son and asked to give it to my grandfather. The kid was at first embarrassed, but then resolutely went to the veteran:

- On the flowers! You flowers!

- Small! Thank you! What a fellow you are! A real hero! - the old man was happy.

Veterans experience genuine joy from attention and gifts. Look into their eyes and you will understand everything yourself. It is impossible to imitate such a look, tears come from him.

Despite the fact that every year by May 9, the government allocates material assistance to veterans , the pensions of war participants are increased, this does not solve their financial problems. If you want to not only say congratulations on Victory Day to the elderly, but also really help, then you should contact charitable foundations.

Any help will be accepted here, it includes not only cash contributions. You can try yourself in volunteer activities: go home to a lonely veteran, help with housework or bring food to the festive table. Sometimes the old man will bring real joy to be heard. For those who are not indifferent to all the surviving heroes and participants in the war, making any of these cases is simple.
