What should I take to the hospital?

From about 30 weeks of pregnancy, a woman needs to be fully prepared for a trip to the hospital. As a rule, by this moment the apartment is prepared for the reception of a new family member. It remains only to collect the bag with which the woman in labor will go to the hospital. Not everyone considers this procedure necessary, because everything you need to take to the hospital, a husband, mother or girlfriend can buy and bring. However, you should not rely on relatives, even the best friend can confuse or forget something, and the husband will certainly do everything wrong.

Everything that needs to be taken to the hospital can be divided into several groups: documents of the woman in labor, things for the woman, things for the child. Documents, namely a passport, a medical policy and an exchange card, must be carried with you constantly after 30 weeks, because childbirth can begin at any time, catch a woman in the most uncomfortable place.

Of course, a woman with labor pains will be admitted to the hospital without documents. However, this will entail some consequences. Firstly, the doctors in the maternity hospital will not know the features of the course of pregnancy, health conditions, and will not be aware of possible complications. All these data are indicated on the map. This means that in the event of the onset of the very complications, doctors may not be ready for them, which may affect the health of women and children. Secondly, the staff of the maternity hospital will not have information about the woman’s diseases that can threaten not only her health, but also the health of other women in labor: infectious diseases such as rubella or AIDS. For this reason, a woman without documents can be placed in an infectious box.

The rest of the things are quite simple to pack in a separate bag and put in a conspicuous place in the house. First of all, forget for a couple of days about makeup, various perfumes and perforated deodorants. Firstly, the skin of a woman should be perfectly clean during contact with the baby. Secondly, various pungent odors can irritate the baby's sense of smell.
