Game background

But during the operation, the zone changes again and all helicopters, having fallen into anomalies, break up in different corners of the territory. Investigation of the failure of the operation is entrusted to Major Degtyarev, a former stalker with considerable experience.
Plot
The main character of the game is Major Degtyarev, sent by the Ukrainian security service. Its main tasks are to find and explore all the fallen helicopters. Two helicopters are shot down by an unknown electric charge of enormous power. In another, there is information about the three evacuation points where survivors are possibly at.
In parallel with the main task, the hero performs secondary, which he receives from stalkers, merchants and leaders of groups. During the investigation, Degtyarev finds out about a certain “Product No. 62”, which actually shot down helicopters. This find leads the major to the Pripyat 1 overpass, which leads to the ghost town of Pripyat itself.
