Seeing off winter is an event from adulthood. His transfer to the nursery is unusual. To convey to the children its meaning through a fairy tale-game is an interesting task for the educator.

Design work
Work on the script for the holiday Maslenitsa in kindergarten begins with the preparation of the premises. The design of the hall should be approached with all seriousness. Part of the scenery will be occupied by crafts made directly during the Pancake week. Children and parents will make other decorations in advance.
It’s nice to hang a voluminous sun under the ceiling - Yarilo (paint the balloon, stick the rays of yellow cardboard to it). If you attach an upside-down opened umbrella nearby, from which garlands of little suns will hang, you will get a beautiful transition from winter to spring, especially when there are cotton-wool snowmen stuck on the walls, classic snowflakes cut out of paper, green leaves, flowers. On the leaves, children will write their own or selected verses about the Sun. Closer to the door to the ceiling is attached another circle - orange. To it you need to stick long multi-colored satin ribbons - rays, the ends of which in any way are also fixed at the top.
From colored paper, children should cut out many small circles, thin strips. Rays are glued to the suns, on which the word "Pancake week" is laid out on the wall, as if it were embroidered with beads.
Outside, the entrance to the room is designed as a village house. Inside, it is better to come up with something fabulous, for example, many balloons of all colors of the rainbow, the inscription: "Sunny country."
The initiative is welcome. The symbol can be knitted, crocheted, embroidered with a cross, stitch, gouache, felt-tip pens, colored crayons.
Beautiful, easy to make garlands of stripes of colored paper. Glue the strips into rings that are connected to each other not just by a chain, but in an arbitrary order. It is more interesting to stretch long garlands around the room - there is more room for design imagination.
If there are truly talented artists in the group, for them, according to the Maslenitsa script in kindergarten, the task is to draw Yarilo, Spring, Maslenitsa, to paste on the walls in different places.

For the development of speech, it’s good to continue the topic of literary fantasies about the Sun. Now in prose. As Yarilo chases away winter, pancakes turn into suns, Lady Maslenitsa teaches forgiveness.
The symbol of the holiday - the circle - brings a curious associative idea - mandalas. It is enough for the teacher to print the necessary number of stencils. Another option is to draw the frame with a pair of compasses, laying circles of the same size on top of each other. To paint with colored pencils, gel pens, felt-tip pens is more interesting combined. Several people can work on one mandala.

Days of preparation for the matinee (wide Shrovetide)
It’s great if, after the event in the kindergarten, each kid will have a tiny Pancake Week amulet in his house.
Children work with amulets on Thursday - the first day of the "wide" Maslenitsa. The child takes the finished doll with him for lunch, a quiet hour. Before going home, everyone writes a short story for their doll - the beginning of a long fascinating biography that the children promise to enter in a diary (first with the help of their parents, after learning to read and write - independently).
Costume holiday indoors
On Saturday, kids come in suits. According to the Maslenitsa script in kindergarten, it all starts with the fact that the kids move to the hall to music, improvising a free dance, admiring each other's costumes. Pancake week carnival is best done uncompetitive in order to avoid resentment of the others when choosing the best.
Then each of the guys briefly tells the rest of his costume: who he is, why he chose this image. It’s great if, in addition to the story, the kid will prepare an interesting concert number.
The Shabbat scenario of Shrovetide in kindergarten in the group can be anything, at the discretion of the teacher. At gatherings in the dining room at breakfast, the guys exchange their impressions of already experienced previous holidays, note what is most remembered. Since the costumed farewells of winter coincide in time with the Western European carnivals, it is worthwhile for the children to raise the question of how, nevertheless, the Russian event differs from foreign ones. The feeling of national love for the Motherland develops in the soul of cheating.
Outdoor Celebration
On the street, it’s fun to organize an obstacle course in the playground. Organizers pre-think the route for ladders, slides, swings, sandboxes. For a change, obstacles are added with guessing riddles, solving puzzles. Jumping in colored circles, train sledges develop mobility, strengthen friendship. The guys are not running at speed. Spring rain can disrupt plans, an event with umbrellas is best made short, noisy, the rest of the concert is moved to the room. In dry, snowy weather it’s more interesting to weave the game into a costume performance “Still a Water Lily”.

- Wow! What a fine fellow! Talented daredevils! It became very hot for me. Now I will melt, as if on fire.
Firebird:
- Wait, Snezhana, do not be shy! A sparrow arrived today. He baked pancakes with jam. Help yourself all. In the tower!
Everyone goes briefly to the dining room. For dessert, pancakes are served, stacked on a platter with a log cabin.
Brother Spring:

Starling:
- The relay time has come. Do you all see the marked path? You have to go through it, find a water lily, illuminated by fire from the inside. Like a torch, it needs to be carried to the bowl.
The Firebird teaches children the task in detail in simple language. The relay race is held. The prizes are the same for everyone so that no one is offended.
Snezhana says that they used to burn a scarecrow. Talks about the magic of dry branches, a change in the rite. All together they burn a big fire, leading a round dance around the fire, singing the final song:
