How to decorate a room for the New Year?

Perhaps the New Year can rightly be called the most magical holiday, the onset of which is eagerly awaited not only by girls and boys of all ages, but also by their wise parents and grandparents who have been gray-haired. New Year is a time of brilliant tinsel, shining Christmas tree decorations and the forest beauty herself with an amazing coniferous smell (for those who do not want to harm nature, there are a huge number of artificial Christmas trees that look very similar to real ones), gifts, sweets and tangerines ... And in order for the holiday atmosphere to become even more magical, for the soul to truly believe in a fairy tale, it is necessary to take some steps, in particular, decide how to decorate the room for the New Year.

I must say that to do this is quite simple - you just need to show a little imagination and at least briefly return to childhood. And if a son or daughter (or several children) grows up in a family, then you can ask them how to decorate a room for the New Year. In this case, you can get very original ideas and provide all households with an excellent mood for the entire period of the holidays!

So, how can I decorate a room for the New Year? Let's start with the windows. Not always at the end of December the weather pampers us with snow and frost, and often only puddles and dirt can be seen behind the glass. However, no one can stop us ourselves from becoming a little wizard-Frosts and paint the window with white (and, possibly, multi-colored) snowflakes! For these purposes, you can use special cans of "artificial snow", which are sold at any supermarket before the holidays, or you can arm yourself with ordinary tooth powder or gouache paints and a brush. For those who are looking forward to the upcoming cleaning, we immediately notice that it will be very simple to wash such “masterpieces” - just take any glass cleaner (ordinary water will do for the worst). You can draw on your own, which is called from the heart, but you can use a variety of stencils.

In addition, windows can be decorated with stickers, which are also easy to find on trays and in stores. Many of them are reusable, so after the holiday they will need to be removed and hidden until the next New Year. In a similar way, you can also decorate interior doors if they have glass inserts (stickers are also suitable for plastic or wood, but it’s not worth painting such surfaces with paints).

By the way, the cornices can be decorated with a thin shiny “rain” and electric garlands - in the evening your window, flickering with colorful lanterns, will look just magical.

How to decorate a room for the New Year, or rather, the wall? You can pull colorful Christmas garlands or sparkling tinsel along them (quietly securing the ends with tape or small cloves), you can hang drawings on a winter theme (the younger generation will do just that). And you can draw a real New Year wall newspaper - it’s easy to come up with a layout for yourself (believe me, there is nothing impossible about it - a Christmas tree, a snowman, toys, a place for congratulations and photos), or you can search on the Internet (for example, on the children's development portal “The Sun”) . By the way, such a wall newspaper can be issued in the form of a kind of report for the outgoing year. To do this, remember what happened over the past 12 months, which events left the most significant mark. Perhaps in the past year your baby first went to kindergarten (school), received his first diploma or participated in a competition (concert), or did you just become happy parents? Maybe you went on a trip, graduated from college or got an interesting job? All these (and not only) events, supported by photographs and brief descriptions, can be reflected in the newspaper, which will forever remain a family heirloom.

If you are thinking about how to decorate a room for the New Year with your own hands, do not forget about candles and small spruce bouquets (which are a great addition to a large Christmas tree). Bouquets of small prickly twigs, decorated with miniature toys, bows and tinsel, can be arranged in cute vases and placed on a festive table. You can build a real Christmas wreath, which will be a wonderful decoration of the room.

Have a nice New Year!
