How to remove chewing gum from clothes

The first way. We use freezing. Put the dry thing stained with chewing gum in a plastic bag and leave it in the freezer for several hours. The time of freezing depends on the tissue and on how deeply the chewing gum has “eaten” into the tissue. When the thing thoroughly freezes, pull it out and scrape off the frozen Velcro. This method is quite effective in many cases, just scraping, use blunt objects that can not damage the fabric. Sometimes a stain still remains on the fabric, but after washing it disappears.

The second way. We use chewing gum with an iron. We put a napkin on the stain and iron it on top (set the temperature in accordance with the recommendations for ironing and do not forget to turn off the steaming mode). The stain gradually changes to a napkin, which has to be changed several times.

The third way. We use hot water and an old toothbrush. Submerging the stain in boiling water with three toothbrushes. From high temperature, the chewing gum rolls into spools and separates. But remember that you can use this method only on cotton items that do not lose color when boiled. To enhance the effect and speed up the process, you can add dishwashing detergent to the water.

The fourth way. We use a liquid detergent (non-abrasive and acid-free). Pour undiluted product onto the stain, wait a few minutes, and remove the gum that has rolled into balls with an old toothbrush. In some cases, you can try ordinary household soap. There will be no harm, but a positive effect may be.

The fifth way. Use nail polish remover. Wet the stain, wipe and remove lumps. Then wash. Use nail polish remover carefully - some tissues may break.

The sixth way. We use gasoline. It is better to take highly refined gasoline. For example, for refueling lighters. The process is clear - wet and wipe.

The seventh way. We use ... chewing gum. The softened chewing gum, from which the sweetness has gone, is wrung in the fingers until it becomes sticky. Now, sticking it to the spot, we tear it off sharply. Using this method, it is sometimes possible to get rid of the main amount of adhering chewing gum, and then we try to remove the remaining stain in warm soapy water.
