World Youth Day is a relatively new celebration for both Russians and the entire civilized population of the planet. For the first time, this holiday was celebrated in 1945, at that very time, at a youth conference held in London, and set a single date, namely November 10th.
The conference was dedicated to the end of World War II. Here the guys from the World Youth Council against fascism and wars met. The youth movement brought together 30 million people from different countries and continents. They all adhered to a single ideology and were ardent opponents of Nazism and fascism. Now the international center for democratic youth continues its work and, as before, unites people regardless of their national and racial affiliation, social status and religious views. Society is actively fighting for the rights of the young population, for their independence and freedom. Team members regularly organize festivals, events and events in defense of their rights. It is thanks to these people who, despite everything, continue their active work against the injustice of the authorities, as well as terrorists, racists and nationalists, the World Youth Day was established.
In some countries, Youth Day is celebrated on August 12 (by order of the UN), while in Russia they celebrate it on June 27. For the first time in our country this holiday was celebrated in 1993, but earlier Soviet youth celebrated their day on June 27 (since 1958).
Russian, like any other youth, needs state support. Boys and girls, along with the adult population, need work, real estate, and health care. Statistics show that only 10% of completely healthy young people in our country, more than half of young Russians have chronic diseases and abnormalities. The government should pay particular attention to diseases such as HIV, hepatitis and AIDS. The number of infected every year is growing steadily. Our country leads in the number of drug addicts, and most of them are school graduates and students, which means the young population.
Difficulties in Russian graduates of schools and students and with education. Unfortunately, today almost half of young people study at universities for a fee, many do not have education at all, while some prefer college and colleges. It is worth noting that diplomas of graduation from Russian universities (even the most prestigious) are absolutely not quoted abroad, which also indicates difficulties in international politics. In our multimillion-dollar country, only a couple of dozens of higher educational institutions can be called βprestigiousβ, all of them are located in Moscow, St. Petersburg and other million-plus cities. By and large, for prestigious companies at the level of Gazprom and others, a diploma of graduating from a university (even a state) at a republican or regional level is akin to a diploma in vocational schools, because without experience, connections and prestigious education in such firms there is simply nothing to do.
Separately, it should be noted the problem of lack of housing for youth, which also demonstrates the new state policy from the βbestβ side. We all know about mortgages and other βpromotionsβ that provide power to young families. Also, we all perfectly understand what awaits a young family who has entered into such a bondage: 20 years of credit, constant tension and lack of money, but for what? For a one-room apartment in a new building on the outskirts of the city? Is this what the state wants for its citizens?
So, we again raise our glasses, for a wonderful holiday, Youth Day of Russia, and we believe that someday our young generations will live easier in this huge country.
