Most conventional PS / 2 keyboards connected to stationary terminals or laptops come with standard settings. Even with equipment breakdowns, you can afford to buy a new keyboard, because it costs a penny. With laptops, the situation is somewhat more complicated. Replacing a keyboard is not cheap.
