In biology classes at the school, they say that when two gametes - germ cells are connected - a zygote is obtained. Without this, the onset of pregnancy in humans is impossible. The egg located in the tube next to the ovary must necessarily connect with the sperm that has entered the vagina, and from there through the uterus to the meeting place. - the woman’s body did not have male germ cells (that is, at a certain time she did not have contacts);
- ovulation has not occurred or has ended (no egg);
- sperm did not survive on the way to the meeting point.
In addition, if fertilization has occurred, that is, the male and female cells have met and connected, the zygote still has some way to go to attach to the wall of the uterus and begin to grow.
