The first and most important of these is storage in a place where sunlight cannot affect the fur. Otherwise, the item will fade and lose brightness.

So, the second rule: if you store a fur coat in a cabinet at home, then you need to hang it on its wide shoulders so that the product does not lose its shape. In this case, the ideal hanger is one made of wood. It is worth considering that some models of fur coats require enough space in the closet, which means that they are strictly forbidden to hang close to other products. It is impossible to oppress mink coats, otherwise they will lose their shape, the fur will stop shining and become darker (the opposite happens with black fur - it fades and brightens), the fibers may break.
The third rule concerns the use of special covers. If you decide to purchase them, then before you keep the mink coat packed, it is worth paying attention to several aspects. Firstly, any fur coat requires exclusively a fabric cover.
Secondly, if the product is made of light fur, then the cover should be blue or black. This helps to eliminate the possibility of damage to the product by ultraviolet rays. Thirdly, the quality of the cover should be high. It should not be painted in any case.
The fourth prerequisite - only dry fur is subject to storage. If the coat is wet, then the initial task is to dry it. You can properly dry it this way: shake the product and hang it in a well-ventilated place. No hairdryer! It will hopelessly ruin the fur.

The best option is lavender bags. Firstly, the smell of this flower repels any insects. Secondly, although lavender has a strong odor, it easily erodes from the fur. Thirdly, it is necessary to change the antimole once every three months.
It is known that fur coats readily absorb odors, but are very reluctant to get rid of them. This also applies to spirits. Try to exclude their contact with the fur. Otherwise, there is a risk that, as a result, they transform into very unpleasant odors, which are very difficult to remove. Once during the winter, you can and should air the coat in the cold (on the balcony, for example).
In the event that the fur product has a very long storage period, you can purchase a special vacuum bag for clothes. Before storing a mink coat in it, it is necessary to dry, ventilate, smooth the villi (only by hand, no comb). Then the product must be folded inside and put into a vacuum bag. The plus is that such a package makes it possible to keep the thing in perfect condition.
