Game activities of preschoolers

In the pedagogical literature it is stated that play activity is the main activity of the child. This, of course, is true, but not quite. It will be more accurate if we say that the whole life of children is a game. A child creates in his imagination his own play space and does not think of himself outside of it. He seriously talks with toys, with fairy tale characters, in fact, sees their silhouettes in his room. He believes that toys come to life at night, and not only at night - just close your eyes.

Game activity should accompany even the easiest learning process for the baby. And at the same time, any game, it doesn’t matter, whether it is individual or group, moving or calm, role-playing or in words, is developmental for him. Parents and educators only need to determine what abilities and skills develop certain games. And already, proceeding from this, it will not be difficult to pick up didactic material that helps to consolidate these skills.

It is believed that game activities aimed at development must necessarily be accompanied by the participation of an adult, planned by him in advance. However, just a spontaneous game brings much more benefit to the child. The game activity of preschoolers, to which they embark on their own initiative, independently or together with peers, is very important for development. So the child can observe, draw conclusions, put skills in practice.

Spontaneous game activity helps to reveal the creative abilities of the baby, stimulates his imagination. When he communicates with peers without adult intervention, he simultaneously comprehends the difficult rules of the child subculture for him, and acquires invaluable life skills in society. Sometimes from the side it may seem that the baby just looks at one point and dreams or just shakes the doll, that is, from the point of view of adults, it loses time in vain. Nevertheless, one should not interfere with him and switch to more “important” classes. But when he himself asks to play with him, it is advisable to postpone endless household chores and give him time.

It happens that the preparation for the game takes more time than the actual conduct. It depends on the age of the child, because the younger he is, the less able to do one thing. The concentration of attention increases with age.

There are also periods when a child prefers to play only on his own or only with peers. He chooses role-playing, outdoor games and does not respond to requests from parents to do something calm and useful. In this case, do not worry, much less panic. It is necessary to give the child time, and he, having learned from the independent game something important, new for himself, will also turn to developing games, but with pleasure, and not under duress.

There are also children who seem to be not interested in anything, it is impossible to “ignite” them, they are in the world of their fantasies. Such kids should not be pulled or rushed either. As a rule, they catch up with their peers in reading, counting a little later. If such a child also lags behind in some subject, he will surely prove himself in other areas (for example, in music, singing, dancing, drawing or in any other form of creativity).

When playing activities in the kindergarten, the teacher needs to arrange everything so that each of the participants won at least once. If there is an opportunity to award winners, then the prizes must be prepared exactly the same. In team games there should be an equal distribution of forces. If the children are very small, an adult participant must also be included in each team.

While preschoolers have time before boring lessons, educators and parents should try to fill it with informative, fun games, interesting events and discoveries.
