Only about a dozen countries are engaged in tea production. But they drink it all over the planet. Therefore, International Tea Day is not considered only a holiday of Indians and Chinese. Not. Tea is loved by all nations, and they also like the holidays.
Why proclaim the International Tea Day?With this act, public organizations wanted to draw attention to the plight of those who work in the field of tea leaf cultivation. The fact is that plantations are in the mountains, you need to work in the early morning (so as not to violate technology). And almost women work on tea. There is another problem: small producers do not withstand competition with corporations. Their costs for the production of tea leaves do not pay off all the time with falling prices. Nevertheless, the technology for growing this plant is such that small producers produce the highest quality product! It was these situations that those who initiated the celebration tried to draw the attention of the world.
When is International Tea Day celebrated?
The World Public Forum decided that on December 15 they will talk about tea production in the world. This date is Tea Day! And although at first it was believed that it would be celebrated only in those countries whose budget is formed by this production, I liked the idea. Now, International Tea Day is remembered all over the world with various events. So, in Russia, an exhibition was organized on various types of this drink in 2009.
A bit about the history of tea
Legend has it that a Chinese emperor named Shen Nung taught the people to brew plant leaves. It was three thousand years before the birth of Christ. It is believed that Shen Nung, as an experiment, poured boiling water over a leaf. The drink turned out so fragrant that the delighted emperor ordered to grow it and use it everywhere. Since then, new varieties have been created. The medicinal properties of the drink have been studied, but new research opens up all its new "usefulness." The main thing: love for him
people do not dry out over time. I’ve been drinking tea for five thousand years, its popularity is only growing!
How to make the holiday world wide: ideas
International Tea Day provides an opportunity for countries to highlight their problems. And for the rest - a great opportunity to talk with people about the priorities of a healthy lifestyle. It would be very nice if this holiday was held on a large scale in many modern countries. The slogans are possible: “Tea instead of alcohol!”, “The best feast is tea drinking” and so on. Of course, you can come up with more interesting, but the idea is clear! Having at hand such an excellent, almost therapeutic drink, people still consider it necessary to give themselves to completely different libations on holidays. If the celebration was supported at the intergovernmental level, this would be a real act of states to preserve the health of nations! In Europe, as in Russia, they talk a lot about declining birth rates, the rapid loss of the gene pool, and they don’t notice such a great opportunity to take certain actions to solve the problem in practice.
