The pixie-bob cat breed was bred artificially. Breeders set a goal to breed a cat that looks like a lynx. For this, domestic cats were brought with wild forest cats. She became the progenitor of many such animals under the breeding program.

Pixie-Bob is a rather strong and massive cat with a pear-shaped head, deep-set eyes and ears pushed back. Their bodies are broad-chested, with powerful limbs and a low short movable tail.
