We all remember childhood fun - soap bubbles. No doubt such entertainment is to the liking of any child. Watching a colorful, colorful ball appear from the soap mixture is a very exciting experience. True, soap bubbles delight with their beauty for a very short time. After all, they exist for only a few seconds, bursting from touch or spontaneously.
The composition of soap bubbles is water and soap. In addition to a soap solution, for their manufacture, a blowing tool is also needed. Let's deal with this in more detail.
What should be the solution for soap bubbles
To prepare the mixture we need soft water. Because hard water contains a lot of salts, which makes the bubbles too fragile. To soften the water, you can simply boil it and let it stand. By the way, it is best to use warm water, as soap dissolves faster in it.
Soap is best used domestically. The most suitable for these purposes is economic. You can also use glycerin or any liquid detergent. To make soap dissolve faster in water, grind it with a knife.
The proportions of the solution are individual and depend on many factors - atmospheric pressure, temperature, humidity. On average, soap and water are taken in combination 1:10, respectively, to prepare the mixture. To prolong the existence of the bubble, glycerin or an aqueous solution of sugar with glycerin is added to the solution. Thanks to this trick, the soap film on the bubble does not dry out so quickly, and the bubble "lives" much longer.
Soap bubble tools
The best tool would be a straw. It can be a hollow stem of any grass, a ballpoint pen, or an ordinary plastic straw for a cocktail. Also for these purposes, you can use a wire ring. To do this, take a piece of wire and bend a loop at one of its ends. You can blow soap bubbles by dipping the ring into the solution. Even if no tools are nearby, your hand will do. You just need to put your thumb and forefinger in a circle, dip them in soapy water and blow bubbles in this way.
How to check the quality of the solution
If you get bubbles with a diameter of 10 cm and do not burst for 30 seconds, then this is a sure sign that you have prepared an excellent solution. Another quality test. Dip your finger in your soap solution and try to pierce the bubble. If it does not burst, then the mixture is prepared correctly.
To make the bubbles bright and colorful, it is best to blow them in sunny, calm weather. In the sun they will beautifully shimmer with different colors. Also try blowing soap bubbles in the cold. It turns out that this is also possible! Only the weather should be calm. If the street is windy, this can be done on the balcony. The bubble begins to freeze at 7 degrees below zero. This is a pretty exciting sight! Falling to the floor, it breaks, like a
glass ball, flying into many fragments.
