Each laser printer has a toner cartridge that helps print documents or images. There is no need to buy a new toner cartridge, as you can easily refill the Canon 725 cartridge. But note that the toner used for work is labeled HP 12A. You can use similar toners for other laser printers.
What do you need for work?
The tools you need to refill your Canon 725 cartridge with your own hands can be counted on the fingers. Before you start refueling, you need to buy high-quality ink. You will also need a screwdriver with an asterisk, newspaper sheets or any other paper. And you also need a soft cloth, a sharp knife and a measuring cup. The latter can not be used if refueling to the brim.
Where to start?
After pulling the cartridge from the laser printer, the first thing you need to do is unscrew the screw of the side cover. After that, you can remove it. After you remove the outer shell, remove the drum unit. Hold it from the side of the white gear, pull it out.
Remove the drum unit, remember its location. Now you need to connect the PCR roller. Lightly press the shaft on the right side with any sharp tool. Then slide the roller up a little and pull it out by pulling it to the left.
Final disassembly of the cartridge
The next step is to separate the waste block and ink, which are connected together using pins. Therefore, you must remove the pins that are on both sides of the cartridge.
Once you push the pin out from the inside, you can pull it out. Once you remove the contacts on both sides of the toner cartridge, you must remove the spring.
Next, install the two main cartridge blocks. One is for waste and the other is for ink. Now you need to remove the spring and the plastic cover. Remove the screws from the waste block to push the wiper brush apart. After that, remove the waste that is collected in it. It is best to clean with a soft cloth, not a brush, as it may scratch the blade.
Then you need to assemble parts of the mining block. Install the wiper blade first and then the plastic cover.
Refueling process
And now directly to the instructions for refilling the Canon 725 cartridge. What you did earlier is disassembling the cleaning unit and cleaning it. Now begins the main part, which is to fill the cartridge. So, take another block where the ink is. Open it and fill it with ink (dry). Work with the powder carefully, as inhaling it in your lungs can damage your health.
It is recommended to work with gloves on, but if it happens to remove toner from your skin or any objects, do it only with cold water. Due to exposure to high temperature, the powder is only more absorbed. The toner must be dry; refill the cartridge with moist powder. After refilling the Canon 725 cartridge, close the compartment. Next, you can connect the two blocks that were previously divided.
What else to change?
Now you can assemble the entire cartridge, for this you need to install the drum, magnetic shaft and rubber roller in their places. It is worth noting that all of these elements have a different resource, therefore, when repairing a cartridge, you need to be guided approximately by the following data:
- Every three refills should change the drum unit.
- A little longer “live” the magnetic roller and rubber - up to 5 gas stations.
- Magnetic shaft cleaning blade - 3-5 refills.
If measured in printed pages, then one refueling is enough for about 500-600 sheets. And this is one pack of paper, maybe a little more.
But it also happens that the case itself wears out - in this case it will be much easier and cheaper to purchase a new cartridge, even if the Chinese counterpart. These elements cannot be restored, and buying a new one will cost about the same amount as you need to spend on the purchase of components.
