Insulation for clothes - isosoft: temperature

Just a couple of decades ago, only down feathers and synthetic winterizer were used as insulation for winter and demi-season outerwear. Today, the choice of materials is more diverse. In Europe, one of the most popular synthetic insulation materials is isosoft. The temperature regime makes the scope of its application as wide as possible. Depending on the density of the material in clothes with such a filler it will be equally comfortable both at 10 ° above zero and at 35 ° frost.

Isosoft - insulation for new generation clothing

Synthetic insulation Isosoft is made by the Belgian company Libeltex. Isosoft is used when sewing outerwear for adults and children, tracksuits for skiers and climbers, bedding, camping equipment (sleeping bags, mattresses, etc.). Products made from it are light and thin, but at the same time retain heat well inside.

The isosoft filler consists of a large number of thin polyester microfibers that are structured in the shape of balls. All the space between them is filled with air, which, as you know, is the best temperature controller. A special technology for manufacturing the material involves the creation of a thermally sealed surface with a double-sided polymer coating. This allows you to retain heat inside the filler, while ensuring the removal of sweat and moisture to the outside. Isosoft recovers well after compression and deformation and stably tolerates numerous washings.

Isosoft Filler Properties

The unique properties of the insulation are largely determined by the special structure of the material. Cavities filled with air create an instant thermal effect, which is maintained throughout the life of the products.

Isosoft insulation properties:

  • temperature conditions - from + 15 ° to -35 °;
  • density - from 40 to 300 g / m 2 ;
  • high thermal insulation characteristics of the material;
  • thermoregulation;
  • good breathability;
  • moisture loss;
  • hypoallergenicity;
  • crush resistance;
  • environmental friendliness.

Insulation of synthetic origin easily transfers washing in the washing machine. It does not deform, it is easily washed at a temperature of 30-40 °, but only without the use of chlorine-containing agents. The only drawback of the material is its price.

Advantages compared to down and sintepon

Due to its properties, Isosoft insulation has a number of advantages compared to other types of fillers for outerwear, which greatly expands the range of its application.

If compared with the fluff, then Isosoft is a heater for clothes with similar heat-insulating characteristics, but at the same time more unpretentious in care and safe for children suffering from allergies. Unlike Isosoft Down Filler:

  • hypoallergenic material;
  • to be washed at home;
  • dries quickly;
  • It does not roll and does not stray into lumps;
  • gives a feeling of comfort over a wide temperature range.

isosoft filler

Compared with sintepon insulation isosoft:

  • much thinner and lighter, replaces up to four layers of synthetic winterizer;
  • easily restores shape after prolonged storage and retains it throughout its entire life;
  • does not lose heat-insulating and thermoregulating properties for a long time.

Isosoft insulation: temperature

By the ability to keep heat one layer of insulation isosoft can be compared with 3-4 layers of synthetic winterizer. Outerwear with such a filler turns out to be lighter and thinner, while it is equally comfortable in different weather conditions. For sewing different types of clothes, an unequal amount of isosoft insulation is used. The temperature regime for which the products are designed is determined based on the weight of the Isosoft material in grams per 1 square meter. The full temperature range is presented in the table.

According to the table, you can determine what temperature regime is designed for clothes with a certain density of insulation inside.

What kind of weather is suitable

From the table it is easy to guess that clothes with a low density of insulation are more suitable for warm spring or autumn weather. At the same time, high-density filler is used when sewing outerwear for harsh winters. In such things it will not be cold even at 35 degrees below zero.

isosoft 80 gr temperature

For demi-season clothing, the weight of the insulation isosoft 80 g is considered optimal. The temperature regime for which such things are designed is from 5 ° above zero to 5 ° below zero. In outerwear with such a heater you can not worry about the fact that the child will freeze during a walk, while he can easily move, since nothing will hamper the movements.

Isosoft material does not deform and retains its heat-insulating properties even after repeated washing. This is an ideal insulation for use in adult and children's outerwear.
