Studenthood and student day

Holidays always bring joy, they are waiting for a long time, they are prepared in advance. And when young blood flows in your veins, then all the celebrations turn, as a rule, into incredible and unforgettable events. Studenthood at all times was considered the most fun, the so-called golden time. And the holiday - Student's Day - dedicated to this beautiful period, has always been and will be the most beloved and expected for students in secondary and higher educational institutions.

Student's day is also unique, because it can be celebrated not once, like all other holidays, but twice a year: January 25 and November 17. The first date is also known as Tatyana’s Day or Russian Student Day. On this day in 1755, Empress Elizabeth signed a decree, thanks to which Moscow University (the current Moscow State University) was opened. Since then, this date began to be celebrated, first as the day of honor of Tatyana Rimsky (thanks to which, in fact, all of the above happened), and later - as the birthday of the university and, accordingly, Student's Day. November 17 is considered a more extensive event, or rather, this date is known as the international day of the student. Its origin is associated with not the most pleasant incidents. In 1939, several Prague students with their teachers decided to hold a demonstration in honor of the anniversary of the founding of the state. As a result, one of the students was shot dead by the Nazis who occupied the country at that time, after which the rest staged a protest. It ended with the arrest of many young people, and the most active were executed. A couple of years later, a meeting was held in London dedicated to the fight against Nazism, at which it was decided to celebrate Student Day in honor of the victims.

Currently, on January 25 and November 17, it is customary to have fun and accept congratulations on Student's Day. Interestingly, in addition to the international holiday, modern students do not refuse to mark dates dedicated to students, which relate to certain states or even specific educational institutions, such as Harvard.

Today, the largest student festival is the International Student Festival, which is traditionally held in the Norwegian city of Trondheim. This kind of conference brings together more than 400 students from around the world every two years. The festival has now become a rather serious event, covering many global topics, mainly related to socio-political issues of international importance. Since 1990, about 350 Norwegian students have voluntarily assisted in organizing the event, monitoring the correct implementation of every little thing. Students attending the festival take an active part in discussions, listen to lectures and seminars, exchange their thoughts and important ideas. The event includes an extensive concert program, including interesting art exhibitions.

Student holidays in our country have not yet reached such a high level and do not attract so many participants, but, nevertheless, students often throw noisy parties. To diversify the fun, you can come up with a script for the student’s day, hand out the most active roles and speak to fellow students. Everyone will remember such a celebration for many years and with a high probability can become a tradition in every team. Very often, students strive to make holding their celebration the most unforgettable, everyone wants their party to be discussed for a long time later and those who were not present to regret it. Undoubtedly, most young people have great imagination and can come up with great scenarios themselves. But if such an opportunity is absent for any reason, professional agencies that specialize in events can come to the rescue.
