About gas masks
A gas mask is an indispensable friend of a stalker in the vastness of the infected Zone, because it protects its carrier from the harmful effects of radiation on the respiratory tract. The stalker can buy a gas mask from any merchant, remove it from the corpse or find it in the cache, but provided that the appropriate modifier is installed.
Beginners in the game use the device because of strong protection, but seasoned stalkers prefer to do without it, as fogged windows distract during the battle. Also, gas masks in the game have a lot of weight and protection against psi radiation.
Description of gas mask mod
In the "Stalker" mod for gas masks adds an updated dynamic hood, that is, the character's interface will be displayed through the glass of the gas mask. This mod includes nine varieties of helmets with gas masks, including the groups "Debt", "Freedom" and so on. In addition to the main armor, the player will be able to use the equipment of bandits, various body armor, scientific suits "Monolith", leather jackets and raincoats. Also added a large number of armored suits and exoskeletons, some of which have unique properties. Conventional exoskeletons and armored suits can be improved at will. You can put on a gas mask in Stalker at your own discretion, since it has increased protection, but can affect the course of the battle.
Now you can remove the armor from the corpses and try on your character, and you can look from the side on the gas mask using the added third-person view. As an additional improvement, a flashlight display on the character’s left shoulder was added to the mod.
Additional updates and installation
As additional updates, updated textures of the main menu and new equipment at the beginning of the game are presented. Those characters from whom the stalker takes tasks have been visually changed. The standard advice of independent characters has been replaced by jokes that are interesting to listen to. AK-47 was added to the game with the mod as a base weapon. The mod is installed after deleting the gamedata folder, then you need to specify the direction to the game folder, and the previously deleted folder will be created automatically by the installation program.
