From the history of the breed
Specialists in the field of cynology claim that the poodle appeared in France, however, other researchers believe that its homeland is Northern Germany or Hungary. In the XV-XVI centuries, breeding was not carried out, individuals crossed randomly. Many researchers believe that the history of the poodle's origin is not entirely clear. There is a version that it was formed as a result of a cross between two ancient breeds - a German shepherd dog with an unusual curly coat and a water dog, which was widespread in Italy. In this animal, the hair resembled twisted cords. To facilitate the care of her from the last ribs to the tail, her body was completely cut.
The poodle inherited a soft character, a sharp mind, an unusual coat and other qualities from its alleged ancestors, which made it very popular among millions of animal lovers. The official breed standard appeared only in 1936 in France. Today in almost all countries there are specialized small poodle kennels. There are many of them on the territory of our country, so problems with acquiring a puppy usually do not arise.
The small poodle breed was bred in the sixties of the last century. Since that time, breeders began to breed, and then import these animals into other countries. So, dogs (small poodle) came to Russia. The mixed reproduction of small and large poodles in the sixties using dogs imported from other countries contributed to the appearance of dwarf poodles in some litters. Most of the dwarf and small individuals (of the same color) have a similar origin.

The shoulders are moderately developed, the shoulder blades are proportional, oblique, the limbs are strong, muscular, but not too massive. The paws are oval in shape, slightly reminiscent of feline, medium size. Pads are dense and thick, claws are brown or black, pink color is considered a defect.

Poodle care is the regular combing of hair. About once every two months the dog needs to be sheared. It is advisable to bathe your pet with special shampoos and balms that facilitate combing. This procedure is carried out twice a month. After bathing the dog must be dried with a hairdryer.
