Complex vaccination "Nobivak": vaccination schedule, preparation, contraindications

Pets - cats and dogs - can live both at home and in the yard (or go out for a walk), but in any case they are constantly at risk of contracting dangerous diseases. On the street, a virus can be picked up by an animal from another beast, or simply from the ground, and purely domestic pets become infected through the dirt brought by a person on shoes. Proper vaccination will help minimize the chance of infection. The point is not that the risk of infection will be completely excluded, because this is not so, but still the risks will become minimal.

To date, the most popular drug for both dogs and cats is Nobivak, the vaccination schedule of which will be presented in this article. Features of care after the procedure, possible contraindications and complications will also be described. How to prepare an animal for vaccination? Nobivac vaccination regimens for dogs and cats are different.

Description of the drug

The drug is a white powder, packaged in bottles, in the kit for vaccination there are also ampoules with a solvent. In some cases, Nobivak, the vaccination scheme for which will be prescribed below, is provided in veterinary clinics for monovalent vaccination in the form of a separate ampoule with a ready-to-use solution.

A damaged powder bottle or one that has expired should be discarded. The open powder is used only for one hour, since after that the living organisms contained in the composition will die, and there will be no use from the vaccine. If the bottle with the drug is accidentally damaged or the expiration date has expired, then before you discard it, you need to neutralize it by boiling for 10 minutes.

Pharmacological properties

vaccinations for dogs and cats

The composition of the drug contains strains of viruses in small quantities, which, penetrating the body of an animal, develop immunity. The Nobivac vaccination schedule provides for two vaccinations with a gap from each other (we will consider further). The action of the drug begins only a week and a half after the introduction of the second vaccine, therefore, for a given period of time, the dog is prohibited from walking, contact with unvaccinated animals, quarantine is indicated.

The manufacturer guarantees the complete safety of vaccinations for the animal; the drug does not cause allergic reactions.

There are no contraindications, as such. The only thing that could be is the intolerance of the vaccine components to animals.

Vaccination with the drug "Nobivak" is possible for females during pregnancy, there are no contraindications.

Side effects

Puppies may show hypersensitivity, and cones often remain at the vaccination site, which pass within a couple of weeks. But some veterinarians additionally inject adrenaline into the animal - to relieve hypersensitivity.

If a person or animal, when vaccinated, gets the drug on the mucous membranes, then they must be washed well with water. Gloves are used during vaccination, but even in this case, you should wash your hands well and with soap before and after.

"Nobivak": vaccination scheme for puppies

vaccine for cats and dogs

At two weeks of age, a small dog is given the Nobivak KS.

Puppies aged 8 or 9 weeks should be vaccinated with Nobivak DHP, DHPPi and Lepto. Revaccination is carried out after 3-4 weeks at the age of 12 weeks.

If the puppy is vaccinated earlier, in 4-6 weeks, then you need to put the vaccine "Nobivak Pappi." In the future, after three weeks, you must definitely put "Nobivak" DHP or DHPPi. In the future, the comprehensive vaccine "Nobivak" should be affixed at the age of the year (and then every year).

Rabies puppies can only be vaccinated at the age of twelve weeks. Revaccination is carried out only after three years.

Vetivan puppy can change the vaccination scheme for puppies in connection with the general condition of the animal. At the time of vaccination, the dog must be active, completely healthy.

As for the dosage of the drug, the instructions for use of the Nobivak vaccine say that one ampoule is intended for one use as a whole, regardless of the size, breed and age of the animal. That is, one ampoule - one animal.

Vaccinations for adult dogs

If the dog has never been vaccinated, then you need to discuss the need for this with a veterinarian who will correctly draw up a vaccination schedule for an adult dog.

"Nobivak" is reintroduced a year after the first vaccinations. The action of the drug against rabies is designed for three years.

It is necessary for the dog to have a vaccination passport, in which marks on the vaccination will be placed (what vaccination, date). With such a passport you will definitely not forget about approaching the next one. Without a passport on the availability of vaccinations, the dog will not be allowed in public transport (train, plane, intercity bus).

Vaccination preparation

dog vaccination

The Nobivac vaccination schedule for dogs can be changed if the animal is sick at the age of vaccination. Also, vaccination is not given until the dog is relieved of worms. Helminths simply will not allow the drug to act, and the money will be wasted, and the pet will be left without protection.

If you need to stop the ears, tails, then this is done at least three weeks before vaccination.

Dogs that have just been purchased from a breeder or shelter, or found on the street, are not vaccinated. For several weeks, the animal needs to be observed, inspected by a veterinarian, in order to detect the presence of hidden diseases.

A couple of weeks before vaccination, you must definitely gobble the animal. For 2-3 days, stop all training, active games, the dog should be rested. Keep an eye on the stool, and if there are violations, you will need to cancel the vaccination - transfer it to another date. Mark behavior, appetite, everything should be in full norm.

Before the dog is given a comprehensive vaccination, Nobivak, the animal is examined by a veterinarian. It is weighed, examined by mucous membranes, body temperature is measured. Only with good results is the drug administered.

Quarantine after vaccination

Within one and a half to two weeks after the second vaccination, the animal has a stable immunity to dangerous diseases, and it is during this period of time that quarantine must be observed. Puppies do not walk, they are taught to walk on need to the diaper.

As for adult dogs, they also have immunity during the same time, and they also need quarantine. But you need to walk the dog! The only thing during quarantine is:

  • walk on time to reduce;
  • avoid hypothermia, overwork;
  • cancel all workouts and increased loads;
  • Do not let the animal come into contact with stray dogs and cats.

Bathing after vaccination is not recommended for the same two weeks. But if the situation is hopeless, then:

  • wash your pet only with warm water;
  • wipe well with a towel;
  • close all windows and doors so that the animal dries without drafts.

Complications

Even if the Nobivac vaccination schedule for dogs is fully observed, some complications may appear - general and local. As for the latter, it is edema at the injection site. Common symptoms include the following: refusal to eat, lethargy, fever.

Typically, such symptoms appear immediately after vaccination and disappear after a couple of days without a trace. If the condition is delayed, then see a veterinarian.

There are more serious complications - intolerance to some components of the drug. This is manifested by shortness of breath, increased salivation, mucous membranes can acquire a bluish tint. If at least one of the symptoms manifests itself, be sure to see a doctor as soon as possible.

Next, the drug for cats "Nobivak Triquet Trio" will be presented.

Rules for use for cats

Things are similar with cats, but there are still differences. The vaccination scheme for kittens "Nobivakom" is as follows:

  1. The first vaccination to the pet should be delivered no earlier than two months of age.
  2. Then, after a month, you need to re-vaccinate, because only after it a good, virus-resistant immunity is developed.
  3. Revaccination is mandatory and is carried out every year. It is advisable to put vaccinations at the same time (+/- two weeks).

When revaccination, you need to be vaccinated only once, for re-vaccination (as in the first vaccination) there is no need, antibodies will already be produced by the body.

Subject to the vaccination schedule, Nobivak protects cats from such terrible diseases as rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and panleukopenia. From the first two diseases, immunity will be developed for a year, and from the last - for three.

Contraindications "Nobivaka" for cats

vaccination kitten

The animal must be completely healthy. For chronic diseases, it is important to consult a veterinarian to assess the risks. If the cat just got a little sick, then the vaccine is postponed to another time.

In no case "Nobivak" is not used for vaccination during pregnancy of a cat and during the period of feeding offspring. If the animal is ill, but still weakened, the vaccination should also be canceled and affixed only at the time of complete recovery.

special instructions

The composition of the drug is living organisms, and it should be used after opening the package for half an hour.

If the integrity of the package is damaged, the drug is not used. In this case, as with the delay, you need to boil the ampoules for 10-15 minutes, then dispose of.

The vaccine is not used if it shows the presence of impurities, sediment. Such a drug should be disposed of in accordance with all the rules, even if it has not expired.

The dosage is the same for any animal, regardless of breed, size and age. That is, the entire ampoule should be introduced to both an adult pet and a kitten.

Animal preparation

cat nivivak

With cats, things are a little easier than with dogs, especially if the animal does not go for walks. Before the first vaccination and two weeks after the second vaccination, kittens should not be contacted with other people's animals (if there is a dog at home or other cats, except the mother, then they must also be removed), street shoes. Before you take the kitten in your hands, you need to wash them well with soap.

A week before vaccination, kittens are given an anthelmintic. You can use both tablets and droplets for application to the withers. Without anthelmintic measures, it makes no sense to vaccinate, they will be useless.

Only completely healthy kittens are vaccinated, with normal appetite and active behavior. After vaccination, the animal may feel unwell, but it will pass within two days. If the condition does not improve, then contact your veterinarian.

A year later, the cat is again being prepared for vaccination: anthelmintic drugs, monitoring the condition. An adult, like a kitten, may feel unwell after vaccination.
