SCP stands for Special Containment Procedures, which literally translates to "Special Containment Procedures." This is the name of a fictitious company that is engaged in the study and maintenance of uncharted creatures, anomalies, strange phenomena. All creatures or objects under strict surveillance are called SCP objects. In the Russian version, the organization is called the Fund. Internet users have independently created a story that a pretty impressionable person can believe in.

The base of creatures is constantly updated and now has thousands of objects. According to the monsters from this universe, games in the style of horror are created. One of the popular projects is SCP: Containment Breach, in which one of the characters is TWS-173. Below this object will be considered in detail from the point of view of the role in the game and for individual articles with a description.

Object STsP-173

a brief description of

Object number 173 belongs to the Euclidean group. Creatures or phenomena whose principle of action or behavior is not fully understood are included in this category. Their content is associated with difficulties, but they do not pose a direct threat to humanity. Objects of the Euclidean class can be used for the benefit of the development of society, but with the proper level of study.

The unofficial name of the project is a statue or sculpture. It is noteworthy that it was this creature who became the founder of the entire SCP movement. Externally, SCS-173 is a stationary doll or statue that is above average human height. She has two arms, two legs and a disproportionately large head. In front of where there are eyes, SCP-173 has red spots. Other facial features are not visible.

Conditions of detention

The object needs constant monitoring, but in a completely locked and insulated container it is harmless. The rules for visiting the creature state that at least 3 people must be inside the cell at the same time. At the same time, two employees must constantly look at the object - this is due to its ability.

Prior to the release of the last of people, eye contact with the monster must be maintained so that it does not begin to move out of sight. It does not need additional conditions or preparation for transportation. Periodically, a red mixture appears on the walls and floor in the storage container, but the cause of the appearance cannot be determined. The camera is cleaned of dirt once every two weeks. At this time, the statue is moved to a reserve container under the strict supervision of SCP personnel.

Abilities

The nature and explanation of SCP-173's unique capabilities remains a mystery. The eerie sculpture is completely safe and motionless, while at least one human gaze is focused on it. Other participants in the experiment may look away. At the moment when all people stop looking at the object, it instantly destroys them. The murder process cannot be recorded by any research participant, since it is impossible to keep track of the actions of the monster.

Employees of the Fund claim that from time to time terrible screams and rattle come from the container when no one is there. As soon as an object appears in a person’s field of vision, it doesn’t take any action.

The problem in interacting with STsP-173 is even the need to blink. Research participants agree in advance in what sequence they will close their eyes, and warn about it directly in the cell.

Other external stimuli do not affect the subject. During an attack on people, he is allegedly using strangulation techniques or breaking his neck.

Appearance story

SCP-173's history begins in 1993 when the creature was brought to the Foundation base. Since then, scientists have not been able to determine the origin of the object. According to studies, a strange composition of the materials that make up the monster turned out - these are reinforcement and concrete blocks, as well as traces of spray paint.

There is a common story on the net about how a creature was found and caught. A special detachment of Foundation agents led by a general participated in the operation. The signal came from an old abandoned village in which strange things were happening - all the inhabitants were killed silently and imperceptibly. On one of the streets, the squad members noticed an unremarkable doll that stood near the wall of the house, but did not attach much importance to this.

Only after some time, staff discovered a sculpture in one of the buildings and found a terrible picture: SCP-173 stood motionless and looked towards people, resting its hands on the wall. Outwardly, he looked like a baby doll made of concrete. Agents already knew by what principle the object was killed, so they blinked only in turn. It was impossible to leave the premises together, so only one of the agents went to help, and the second looked at the doll for a long time.

Only by 6 a.m., SCP-173 was removed from the building and placed in a steel container. He was sent to the Foundation base with a military helicopter. At 23:30 that day, the creature was placed in a separate cell for further research. Participants in the operation were questioned for a long time, and the SCP leadership demanded to return to the village and find the sculptor in the remaining tracks. However, it was decided to destroy the settlement by carpet bombing for greater reliability and security.

Role in the game

Object STs-173 is the first enemy character to appear in SCP: Containment Breach. The player is brought into the cell to a creature along with two Class D employees. Class D is the lowest level of staff in the organization. They serve extremely dangerous objects of the Keter category and perform dangerous tasks. Prisoners or volunteers are hired to replenish D-Class personnel.

However, the experiment fails due to SCP-079's object breaking into the lighting system. In complete darkness, the statue manages to destroy the employees of the D class, after which the light turns on. The player is left alone with the sculpture. The character has an indicator that counts the time until you need to blink. You can do this ahead of schedule by pressing the Spacebar.

Walkthrough

After killing in the container, the creature escapes through the ventilation hatch. While the player is traveling through the complex and the underground laboratory of SCP-173, he can meet him in absolutely any office or corridor. Detecting the approach of an object is quite simple, because when moving it emits a loud rattle. If you are sure that there will be SCS-173 in one of the neighboring rooms, we recommend blinking in advance. Moving away from the monster, it is necessary for some time to go facing the doll.

Advice

You can use some tricks. Firstly, if you look at the sculpture through the wall, it will be motionless. To determine the location in neighboring offices, find a map of the complex.

Secondly, you can hide behind a door that is protected by a combination lock or key card. The remaining doors the object is able to overcome.
