Every parent who has young children is concerned about such an important issue as the mode of operation of kindergartens. Are government work schedules really adhered to? Does it differ in private organizations? What should I do if a violation has been identified?
The main mode of operation established at the legislative level
There is a standard mode of operation of the kindergarten under the law, which was established by medical specialists and representatives of preschool institutions. In accordance with the charter of an educational organization, there are several features of being in a child care institution:
- Parents have the right to leave their child in the kindergarten for 12 hours. In various cities, a certain time regime has been established: from 8 am to 8 pm or from 7 am to 7 pm. The exception is private and round-the-clock kindergartens.
- On pre-holiday days, the time regime is reduced to 10.5 hours, that is, parents can bring their child to kindergarten at the usual time, but they need to be picked up 1.5 hours earlier.
- On weekends and holidays, kindergartens do not work.
- In some institutions, by agreement of teachers and parents, there is an extended day group. That is, parents can leave their baby in kindergarten for up to 21 hours. On its territory a single group is organized for children of all ages.
- There is also a shortened daily regimen, which lasts only 3-4 hours. Usually for such a period of time, beginners are left who need to adapt.
This whole procedure concerns only the stay of children in a preschool institution, it does not apply to kindergarten workers.
The working hours of the main staff
There is a mode of operation for kindergartens established for staff. For each of them a specific load per week is provided.
For example, the working hours of the kindergarten manager are 40 working hours per week. This is a normal load. That is, such personnel should be present in the preschool institution and perform their duties five days a week (Monday to Friday), eight hours a day (from 8.00 to 17.00). There is one hour for lunch (from 12.00 to 13.00).
In some cities, the standard mode may vary. For example, in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg, the main staff of the preschool institution works from 9:00 to 16:00. The same schedule is the administrator of the institution and the senior teacher.
The mode of work of teachers
The mode of operation of the kindergarten teacher is slightly different, its load should not exceed 36 hours a week. As a standard, two specialists work in preschool institutions: the first shift worker - from 7.00 to 14.30, and the second shift worker - from 14.30 to 19.00, the lunch break for preschool teachers lasts 30 minutes. As for the work schedule, the educators work every day with alternating shifts.
Support staff working hours
It is worth noting that the auxiliary staff also works in the kindergarten, which makes the lives of children more comfortable, interesting and colorful and provides invaluable assistance to teachers. A specific work schedule has also been developed for them.
- With a load of 40 hours a week, nannies and junior teachers (from 8.00 to 17.00), cooks and kitchen workers (from 6.00 to 15.00) work.
- About 20 hours a week in the garden should be a supply manager, music director, secretary, cleaner, repairman, janitor and loader. Typically, such staff are in service for 4 hours a week from 8.00 to 12.30 with a lunch break of 30 minutes.
- A guard must be on the premises of the preschool around the clock. He works 24 hours a day with a three-hour work schedule. Minimum staff should be four employees.
It is worth noting that in some institutions the availability of personnel, as well as the mode of operation of kindergartens, may vary slightly.
Schedule
We should also talk about the daily routine in a preschool, with which every parent should be familiar.
- During the first hour of the kindergarten, children are admitted. Already arrived kids at this time are engaged in a free activity.
- At 8.00 a breakfast is organized (usually dairy dishes).
- From 8.30 to 9.00, creative classes are held in groups, for example, drawing, modeling or dancing.
- From 9.20 to 11.20 a walk in the fresh air is provided, this time may vary, depending on weather conditions.
- From 11.45 to 12.20 the children have lunch.
- From 12.45 to 15.00 a two-hour quiet hour is provided.
- At 15.30 the kids depart for an afternoon snack.
- From 15.25 to 16.25 group classes are provided.
- From 16.20 to 19.00 the children have free time, all of them are waiting for the arrival of their parents. In the summer, they walk on the street, in winter they sit in groups and play.
- Dinner is provided at 18.30.
In some preschool institutions, the schedule includes classes with a speech therapist, swimming, choreography about much more.
What to do if the mode is violated?
The working hours of kindergartens, established by law, must be respected. Unfortunately, not all employees in this field are fulfilling their duties in a quality manner. There are the following violations that may adversely affect children and their parents:
- The teacher does not come to work on time, because of which the parent is forced to leave his child with a guard or wait, being late for work from time to time.
- The carer requires taking his baby earlier, because he does not want to be in the institution until the end of the shift because of one child.
According to the law, the teacher is obliged to begin his duties at 7.00 (or 8.00, depending on the exact schedule), that is, at this time the parent can already leave his baby in kindergarten. If the teacher is late late, you should fix this fact and write a complaint in the name of the manager. With a single delay, it is recommended to speak with the teacher orally. If, through the fault of the educators, the person was late for work and received a reprimand for this, then he is entitled to demand compensation from the educational institution.
As for the end of the working day, each parent has the right to leave his child in the institution until 19.00, and the teacher must work until the last child is taken. If the teacher does not want to fulfill his duties, then he should be reminded of what the group’s working hours are in the kindergarten, or have oral interviews with him, explaining his own situation at work.
