This is the mafia! A society from which one does not voluntarily leave. A family that values loyalty and severely punishes betrayal. A criminal group, on behalf of which it is necessary to rob, intimidate, and if necessary, to kill. It is not known whether the character of the computer game Mafia 2, Joe Barbaro, thought about this at one time, but he has already had about a dozen murders on his conscience.
About character
There is little information about this character in The Cause. It is known that he always dreamed of a gangster life and the easy money that it gives. And, becoming older, he and his friend Vito Skaletta nevertheless began criminal activity with petty robberies. And someone eventually had to answer for it.
Once, during one of these raids, Vito is caught by police, but Joe manages to escape. Instead of a prison term, Vito was offered military service, and he went to the front. And Joe Barbaro during this time began to mean something in criminal circles, starting to work for the Clemente family.
Having received a wound in the war in 1944, Vito returned home. Joe met a friend and immediately introduced him to Henry Tomasino, a fighter in the Clemente family. From him, friends first received simple orders, such as the theft of jewelry. But soon the first order appeared for the murder of a certain Sidney Pen, nicknamed "Fat Man". This man was not lucky to cross the road of Alberto Clemente, so he becomes the first victim of Joe Barbaro.
Sidney "Fat Man" Pen
Sidney used to be the owner of the Empire Bay Cab & Co taxi fleet, but then Alberto Clemente became his partner, having bought part from him to launder money through the enterprise. In 1939, Pen opened a distillery in Sand Island, but Clement did not take. Considering that he had enough evidence against Alberto, he went against the mafia.
From this moment, attempts on him began. And in 1945, one of them ended with the death of Sidney. His motorcade was shot, all the guards were killed, and the “Fat Man” was seriously wounded. The last thing he has time to do is to shoot Henry Tomasino in the leg, and after a second Vito and Joe Barbaro shoot him with rifles.Richard Maceo
Richard was a character in the expansion pack for Mafia 2, Joe`s Adventures. He was too talkative, which is why he got into the "black list" of Joe. This happened when Vito was accused of infiltrating the Federal Bureau of Price Regulation, followed by the sale of illegal petrol vouchers.
After conducting his own investigation, Joe finds out that behind this stands Richard Maceo, one of the members of the Clemente family. For this, he was included in the witness protection program and assigned to guard. But this did not help him, angry Joe finds and kills him.
Rocco
Rocco Matollini is another character from the aforementioned additions to the game "Mafia 2". Joe Barbaro took it at the request of Carlo Falcone. Rocco was originally a representative of the Falcone family and a good friend of Eddie Scarpa. But over time, they began to disagree. Scarpa began to climb the career ladder, so Rocco often had to do dirty work for him.
Perhaps this was the reason for the betrayal of Falconet. One day he plans to kill Eddie and Carlo in order to stand at the head of the family. But the murder did not take place, and the wounded Carlo gives the order to remove Rocco Matollini. Then Joe Barbaro, who performed everything in the best possible way, got down to business.Billy barnes
During the war, Billy Barnes was a tank commander. When the war ended, he returned home and regretted that the country he was defending was mired in corruption, and that criminal society was in charge.
Deciding that a good person does not belong here, Bill puts together his gang. But it was difficult to compete with the mafia, hence the death of the character at the hands of Vito Scaletta and Joe Barbaro.Alberto Clemente
Alberto was the head of the Clemente family. In 1920, he committed the first murder, and after 9 years he managed to create his own family. After the war, when the Vinci and Falcone families experienced difficulties, he managed to take over part of their business. Then he met Sidney Pen - and everyone knows how it ended.
Alberto was, to put it mildly, an unpleasant person. Vito and Joe had sharpened a tooth on him for a long time. At first he wanted to appropriate their money to himself, and then get rid of them. And when Vito was facing a prison sentence, he hired a cheap lawyer who could not help the guy. Therefore, when Falcone and Clemente fought for the post of the first mafia, Scalett and Joe Barbaro chose Carlo and, on his orders, removed Alberto.Leon
He was once a member of a gang of bombers made up of the brutal scumbags that controlled Sand Island. But that was before. Now he has tackled crime and has become the owner of the popular Lone Star bar. Joe was there when he came to remember his dead friend Marty.
He got drunk, and Leon called Vito to take his comrade. When Scaletta arrived, Joe accidentally kills the bartender with a shot from the Colt. After that, Vito takes his body to a landfill and, together with the machine, sends it to the press.Shi Yong Won
This Chinese is another character from the second part of the Mafia game. Joe Barbaro killed him out of revenge. Mr. Won was the incumbent head of the Triad, as well as the owner of the Red Dragon restaurant, which was used to launder money. But this he did not achieve all at once. At first he had to be an involuntary worker, then he served the Triad. And only a few years later he became the head of the Chinese group. True, he often behaved too aggressively, for which he was killed.
Once, when Vito and Joe came to the park to meet with Henry Tomasino, they saw a terrible picture - several members of the Triad are killing their friend. Shi Yong Won did not touch them, explaining that Henry worked for the feds. But Joe did not believe it, so he killed the Chinese.Joe Barbaro: Mafia 3
It is unclear what happened as a result of one of the main characters of the game "Mafia 2" - Joe Barbaro. Passage of the game ends on how Leo Galante seats friends in cars and carries them in different directions. His fate remains in question. Perhaps in the third part there is an answer to it.
